Ondeh Ondeh Kaya’s Tasty Tale is a single-player rhythm-and-puzzle action-adventure from Malaysian studio Metronomik, published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Planned for 2027, it follows Kaya as she seeks certification as a Worldbuilder in the flavor-filled world of Selera. Music drives exploration, puzzles and combat, while the setting draws directly on Southeast Asian food, village life and musical traditions.

Rhythm also feeds into confrontations and Kaya’s growth. The available descriptions indicate that staying in tempo can power encounters and make Kaya stronger, although detailed difficulty settings, note displays and accessibility options have not yet been announced.

A demo report from Inven Global describes pushing and pulling objects, pressing switches and navigating strong winds before reaching Salty Village. Selera is a fictional setting inspired by Southeast Asian traditions, local flavors, music and village life. The title is culturally legible in Malaysia and Singapore: ondeh ondeh is a chewy pandan kueh filled with gula melaka and coated in grated coconut, while kaya is a familiar coconut jam. Inven Global also identifies onde-onde as a traditional snack associated with Malaysia and Indonesia.

Play-Asia carries a listing titled “Ondeh Ondeh Kaya’s Tasty Tale Nintendo Switch 2 game,” and Nintendo Switch 2 is an officially announced platform. That establishes retailer interest and a named product listing, not a finalized launch package. Final price, stock, release date, regional availability, Amazon availability and edition contents have not been confirmed by the publisher.
