CHOICE separately lists nine shelf positions. The two sources therefore differ on this specification; check the actual oven and its documentation rather than assuming the count from either listing applies to every unit.
Will it fit your kitchen?
Omega’s specification sheet gives overall dimensions of 595 × 595 × 570 mm and lists separate cutout dimensions for proudmount and flushmount installations. CHOICE lists claimed exterior dimensions of 595 × 595 × 570 mm and a cutout of 598 × 598 × 550 mm. It also lists internal baking dimensions of 375 × 480 × 410 mm. These are source-specific figures, not a substitute for checking the specific appliance and cabinet.

- Have a licensed electrician perform the installation. The manual specifies a 220–240 V, 50 Hz connection requirement.

Using and caring for the oven
The manual describes conventional cooking, grill and timed cooking functions, and includes cleaning and troubleshooting sections. Consult the manual for the controls and operating steps for your particular appliance.
- Let the oven cool before cleaning. The manual warns against steam cleaners and abrasive materials on oven surfaces and door glass.
- Disconnect or isolate the power before maintenance, including changing a lamp.
- Leave installation and electrical work to a suitably qualified person.
Warranty, manuals and service
Warranty statements depend on context and should not be treated as a single universal promise. Omega’s specification sheet lists 24 months parts and labour, and the manual states a 24-month warranty from purchase. Omega New Zealand’s warranty page lists the OBO691TGG among models eligible for four-year coverage when purchased from August 2019 onward. The New Zealand terms do not establish coverage for every purchase, region or date. Check the purchase paperwork and contact Omega about the specific appliance; statutory consumer protections may also apply.

The manual advises contacting an authorized service centre if problems continue. No specific replacement part or current parts availability is established here, so confirm compatibility and supply directly with Omega or an authorized service provider before ordering.
What to check before buying a used OBO691TGG
- Confirm the exact model from the appliance label, not just the seller’s listing.
- Inspect the unit’s condition and verify the controls, door, light and included accessories in person where possible.
- Ask for the original purchase date, warranty documents and any service history; coverage can depend on purchase date and region.
- Measure the appliance and cabinet opening, and confirm electrical requirements before committing to installation.
- Ask Omega or an authorized service centre whether needed parts can be sourced for that particular unit.
- Do not assume separately sold trays or shelves fit. Compatibility of replacement accessories was not verified.
Verdict
The OBO691TGG has a substantial listed capacity and a useful range of documented functions, but those specifications do not establish cooking performance. Because it is discontinued and the public CHOICE page does not disclose its test results, a purchase decision should rest on the condition of the individual oven, verified fit and electrical suitability, and confirmed support—not an assumed review score or presumed new availability.
