Coverage places the change in the context of the Diwali release window and Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2. India Today reported that the November date moves OM away from a potential Diwali-window overlap. Cinema Express reported on September 23 that the postponement was tied to avoiding proximity to Jailer 2 and cited respect for Rajinikanth as the stated rationale (Cinema Express).
