Is 16 litres a day enough for your room?
Start by measuring the room. Multiply length by width by height in metres. A 5 m × 4 m room with a 2.5 m ceiling is 50 m³, comfortably inside the 75 m³ the manufacturer lists. A 6 m × 5 m room with the same ceiling is 75 m³, right at the limit.
Two cautions apply to that calculation:
- The 16 L figure is a manufacturer rating. The product listing does not publish the temperature and humidity conditions behind it, so read it as a capacity rating, not a guaranteed daily yield.
- The 75 m³ figure is a suitability guide. It does not account for moisture sources such as showers, cooking, a damp cellar or a wet laundry load, all of which add to the work the machine has to do.

In practice, a closed room with the door shut will concentrate the moisture and let the dehumidifier work more efficiently than an open space. Spread the wet items so air can reach them, and expect the tank to fill faster than in ordinary use, since the machine is pulling water out of the wet fabric. Whether this produces acceptable drying times for your clothes is something you will need to judge from your own load.
