A mobile plan described as “unlimited” is a different matter: current availability for new Oi customers is not verified, and many online claims concern legacy or migrated accounts.
So the practical answer is simple: if you want unlimited internet at a fixed Brazilian address, check Oi Fibra. If you want an unlimited mobile SIM, do not assume that an old Oi offer or forum advertisement is still available or permitted.
Is “Oi Unlimited Internet Plan” an official product?
Oi’s current consumer internet page uses the Oi Fibra brand rather than “Oi Unlimited Internet Plan.” Oi describes its residential fiber plans as allowing browsing without a monthly data franchise, but “unlimited” is a description of the service’s data model, not the clearly verified name of a separate product. See the current offer page at oi.com.br/internet.
The phrase can mean either unlimited fixed broadband or an old mobile-data arrangement. Those should not be treated as the same service.

Unlimited fixed internet
Oi Fibra is installed at one service address. Its advertised unlimited usage means there is no displayed monthly data allowance like the quota on many mobile plans.
Unlimited mobile internet
Historical Oi offers, migrated customers and promotional arrangements may have been described as unlimited. No generally available, current Oi mobile unlimited plan for new customers is established by the current official pages. A forum report is not a substitute for a current contract.
Current Oi Fibra plans and speeds
Oi’s internet page lists these residential speed tiers:
Rank #2
- Dual-band Wi-Fi with 5 GHz speeds up to 867 Mbps and 2.4 GHz speeds up to 300 Mbps, delivering 1200 Mbps of total bandwidth¹. Dual-band routers do not support 6 GHz. Performance varies by conditions, distance to devices, and obstacles such as walls.
- Covers up to 1,000 sq. ft. with four external antennas for stable wireless connections and optimal coverage.
- Supports IGMP Proxy/Snooping, Bridge and Tag VLAN to optimize IPTV streaming
- Access Point Mode - Supports AP Mode to transform your wired connection into wireless network, an ideal wireless router for home
- Advanced Security with WPA3 - The latest Wi-Fi security protocol, WPA3, brings new capabilities to improve cybersecurity in personal networks
| Tier | Advertised service | Published upload detail |
|---|---|---|
| 200 Mega | FTTH residential broadband | Not stated on the referenced page |
| 500 Mega | Up to 500 Mbps download | Up to 250 Mbps upload |
| 700 Mega | FTTH residential broadband | Not stated on the referenced page |
| 1 Giga | Up to 1 Gbps download | Up to 500 Mbps upload |
These are advertised maximums, not a guarantee that every device will measure the same speed. Address-level technical feasibility determines which tier can actually be ordered. Oi’s plans include a dual-band Wi‑Fi 5 router using 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. Oi Fibra X Premium is associated with Wi‑Fi 6. Oi Fibra X and X Premium may also include Mesh or FTTR coverage features; confirm the number of included points before ordering.
How much does Oi unlimited home internet cost?
When checked, Oi’s official page displayed 700 Mega with Globoplay for R$109.90 per month for six months. This is a promotional signal, not a guaranteed nationwide price. Eligibility, payment method and final price depend on the CEP and checkout path; the displayed offer context may require a card or automatic debit.
Before accepting a promotional order, verify the charge from month seven. On qualifying offers, Globoplay is included for six months; continuing after that period may require a separate subscription through Oi’s channels. The page also presents combinations involving Globoplay, Paramount+ and Max, with availability depending on the selected plan and location.

- COVERAGE IN EVERY ROOM: Covers up to 1,500 sq. ft. for up to 20 connected devices. Walls, floors, and interference can reduce range. Larger or multi-story homes may benefit from a NETGEAR Orbi mesh WiFi system.
Is Oi Fibra truly unlimited?
For ordinary residential use, Oi markets the service without a monthly data franchise. That supports calling it unlimited data in the narrow fixed-broadband sense. It does not mean:
- unlimited speed or guaranteed uptime;
- permission to resell or redistribute the connection;
- unrestricted use of a SIM in a modem or router;
- service away from the installed address; or
- exemption from suspension, payment, contract or acceptable-use rules.
Wi‑Fi can also be slower than the subscribed fiber tier. Walls, distance, interference, the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band, router placement and the client device’s Wi‑Fi generation all affect results. A wired Ethernet test is a better check of the access line than a test from a distant phone.
Oi’s regulatory information also shows why the wording needs care: the company has faced disputes over “ilimitado” claims where restrictions applied. Read the plan summary and contract rather than interpreting the marketing adjective as a promise of unrestricted service.

How to check availability and sign up
- Open Oi’s Oi Fibra internet page.
- Select the speed or promotion you want.
- Enter the complete service address or CEP.
- Wait for the technical-availability result for that building or street.
- Check the monthly price, payment requirement, installation conditions, included router and promotion end date.
- Review the price and streaming terms from the seventh month, then complete the order only if the written conditions match the offer.
A city appearing in Oi’s coverage information does not prove that every building is serviceable. The CEP result is decisive.
Pre-signup checklist
- Price after the introductory period
- Any fidelity period, cancellation charge or adjustment clause
- Installation or activation fees
- Whether Mesh nodes, FTTR points or a fixed telephone cost extra
- What happens to Globoplay after six months
- Required payment method
- Expected installation date and equipment model
Does Oi still offer unlimited mobile internet?
The current public Oi pages reviewed do not verify a generally purchasable unlimited mobile-data plan for new customers. Oi’s consumer emphasis is now on fixed fiber and other services. Some former Oi customers report retaining unusually large or apparently unlimited allowances after migration to another operator, but those accounts are anecdotal and may be closed, grandfathered or subject to special restrictions.
Do not buy a SIM, “activation” service or router package from an unofficial seller on the assumption that it is a permanent Oi unlimited plan. Request the operator’s written plan summary and contract, and confirm that modem, router, hotspot and tethering use are permitted. An old contract may prohibit use in routers or commercial setups.

Oi Fibra versus an unlimited mobile plan
| Criterion | Oi Fibra | Mobile data plan |
|---|---|---|
| Location | Fixed service address | Portable within network coverage |
| Data model | Advertised unlimited residential usage | May have a quota, app-specific allowance or contractual limit |
| Setup | Fiber installation and router | SIM/eSIM activation |
| Performance | Often more consistent where fiber is available | Varies with signal, congestion and cell load |
| Home replacement | Designed for household broadband | Depends on hotspot and acceptable-use rules |
| Travel | Not suitable away from the address | Primary advantage |
Even a mobile plan marketed with “unlimited” apps or calls may retain a finite general data allowance. For example, TIM’s TIM Beta information describes a 20 GB internet franchise alongside separate unlimited calling or app benefits; that is not unlimited data for every activity. See TIM’s TIM Beta information.
Alternatives if Oi Fibra is unavailable
Another local fiber provider
A regional FTTH company may offer better building coverage, support or pricing. Compare the full recurring price, upload speed, installation terms, router and cancellation conditions rather than the headline download number.
Nio Internet
Nio markets fiber service and information for existing Oi Fibra customers. Its consumer pages mention price-fix signals through January 2030 and arrangements for some customers during the transition. Availability is footprint-specific; check niointernet.com.br and Nio’s fiber plans page directly.
TIM home internet
TIM advertises home-internet products, including services described as unlimited for home use. Coverage and technology vary by address, so use the official availability checker at TIM Internet for home and TIM’s availability page. Do not confuse a home product with mobile plans that merely include unlimited selected apps.
How to avoid misleading “unlimited Oi” offers
- Use an official Oi or current operator domain.
- Demand the written plan name, data rules and contract before paying.
- Check whether the SIM is allowed in a modem, router or hotspot.
- Look for throttling, fair-use, suspension and coverage clauses.
- Reject offers requiring unofficial “activation,” VPN tricks or transfer of someone else’s legacy account.
- Compare the post-promotion price, not only the introductory amount.
Verdict
For a new customer seeking unlimited Oi internet at home in 2026, Oi Fibra is the relevant answer: fixed FTTH broadband advertised from 200 Mega to 1 Giga without a displayed monthly data cap. “Oi Unlimited Internet Plan” is not a clearly verified current official product name. A reported unlimited mobile Oi arrangement may be legacy or migrated and should not be treated as an offer available to new customers without a current written contract.
