Bandai’s October 9, 2026 announcement gives a planned delivery month of February 2027. The reservation period is listed as October 9 to November 9, 2026, but reservations may close early if the available quantity is reached. Are the designs official and canon-accurate?
Yes. Bandai describes the two officially licensed boxer-brief designs as reproductions of underwear designs from Super Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair: one depicts Hajime Hinata’s design and the other Nagito Komaeda’s. The announcement does not establish that the phrase “underwear will come out” is dialogue from the game, so it should be read as a description of the merchandise release, not a verified quote.
Where can you buy them, and what do they cost?
The announced reservation channel is BanColle!, Bandai’s character-fashion shop on Premium Bandai. Bandai said other sales routes were undecided when it published the announcement, which does not confirm an Amazon listing. The announced price is ¥3,960 including tax, with shipping and handling charged separately. What sizes and materials are listed?
The announcement lists four options: men’s M and L, and women’s M and L. It provides waist and hip measurements for each on the product listing, so use those measurements rather than relying on the letter size alone. The fabric is listed as 100% polyester, and the stated minimum age is 15. Bandai cautions that textile sizing can vary, printed results may differ during production, and specifications may change.
Is this the same 2027 date as Danganronpa 2×2?
No. The underwear’s planned delivery is February 2027. Spike Chunsoft separately lists Danganronpa 2×2 for January 14, 2027, across Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store. The game and the merchandise have different dates.

Spike Chunsoft describes Danganronpa 2×2 as an updated presentation of the original Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair story, alongside a new scenario using the same setting and cast but different victims, culprits, and tricks. The original game follows students investigating murders on Jabberwock Island, gathering clues and using evidence in class trials. What other related merchandise was announced?
Bandai’s announcement also includes Monokuma or Monomi character hairbands and an acrylic logo display with a button that plays approximately 30 seconds of the opening theme. These are separate products from the character boxer briefs; check the seller listing for their current availability and terms.
