The October Prime Big Deal Days vacuum deals reported for October 6–7, 2026 include a Dyson V8 cordless stick vacuum and two Shark models, but the “up to 44% off” Dyson figure comes from a June offer—not the October sale. October coverage listed the V8 at 31% off; check the retailer’s current listing before buying because deal prices can change.

The October reports cover cordless stick and robot models; the cited October prices do not establish an upright-vacuum offer. Compare the format and the rooms or floors you need to clean, rather than choosing by discount percentage alone.
Why the Dyson deal is not 44% off in October
The 44% figure refers to a separate June deal. NBC Select reported on June 26, 2026, that the Dyson V8 was $299.95, down from $539.95 at Williams Sonoma. That historical offer does not establish the October price. In NBC Select’s October 7 roundup, the V8 was listed at $269.99 versus $389.99, or 31% off. NBC Select’s June report

Choose a cordless stick for quick, targeted cleaning
The Dyson V8 is the clearest fit in these reports for smaller areas. Its reported 30-minute runtime and crevice attachment may suit spot cleaning and narrow spaces, but consider whether that runtime fits your cleaning routine.

- Three power modes. Auto mode for everyday cleaning tasks—the optimal balance of power and run time to preserve the lifespan of your battery. Eco mode for maximum run time. Boost mode for intensive spot cleaning.
- LCD screen shows power modes, maintenance alerts, and remaining run time to the second.
Consider a robot if you want vacuuming and mopping features
The Shark PowerDetect UV Reveal is the only robot in these October examples, and WIRED reports that it vacuums, mops, and detects stains. WIRED’s reviewer also notes a limitation for a two-story home: it cannot learn multiple floors. That assessment is WIRED’s, not an independent test conducted for this article.

Look at the Shark stick’s reach and runtime
Tom’s Guide reports a 60-minute runtime for the Shark Cordless Vertex Pro, along with a self-cleaning brushroll and a wand that bends to reach under furniture. Those features may matter if you clean for longer stretches or often work beneath low furniture; confirm the model and offer on the retailer listing.

- 2 Advanced cleaner heads and 4 attachments to clean up high, down low, and everywhere in between. Plus wall dock and charger.
How to compare the offers before buying
- Match format to your home: a stick vacuum, robot vacuum, and upright serve different cleaning routines. The October deal reports here do not provide an upright model to compare.
- Check the cleaning area and floor plan: the Dyson V8 is described as suited to smaller areas, while WIRED’s review flags the Shark robot’s multi-floor mapping limitation.
- Compare practical features: consider the Dyson’s crevice attachment and reported runtime, the Shark stick’s bending wand and runtime, or the robot’s mopping and stain-detection features.
- Verify the actual offer: sale prices and stock can change. Confirm the model, price, discount, and checkout terms on the retailer page before ordering.
