Amazon’s 2026 fall Prime Big Deal Days event—often called October Prime Day—runs October 6–7, according to Amazon. Amazon says a Prime membership is required to access event deals. Before buying, check the event details in your local Amazon store and judge each offer against a price you would actually pay: an event label alone does not establish that a deal is good.
When is October Prime Day 2026?
Amazon announced that Prime Big Deal Days returns October 6–7, 2026. The two-day event is Amazon’s fall counterpart to Prime Day and is positioned as an early holiday-shopping event. Participating markets named by Amazon include the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and countries across Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Availability and local timing can differ, so check the event page in your country’s Amazon store for the applicable dates and terms. Amazon’s 2026 announcement

Do you need Prime to shop October Prime Day deals?
Yes. Amazon says Prime membership is needed to access Prime Big Deal Days offers. The exact membership and offer terms may depend on the local store; check the event page where you shop before relying on a deal’s eligibility. Amazon’s 2026 announcement
What kinds of deals should shoppers expect?
Amazon describes a broad event, with categories including electronics, fashion, home, kitchen, toys, beauty, and Amazon Devices. That category list is not a promise that every item will be discounted, or that any particular product will be on offer in 2026. The actual selection becomes clear in the live event listings. Neither an event badge nor a stated discount proves that an item is cheaper than its usual price, the best offer of the year, or less expensive than at another retailer. The available Amazon event materials do not provide independent price histories or item-by-item comparisons. Set a maximum price before the event, then check the live listing and compare other retailers’ current prices before purchasing.

- Choose the product and an acceptable price in advance. This helps separate a wanted purchase from an impulse buy prompted by a countdown or promotion.
- Review the live listing. Confirm the model, size, configuration, seller, delivery details, and any conditions attached to the offer.
- Compare current prices. Check comparable listings elsewhere and make sure they are for the same product and configuration.
- Confirm eligibility and timing. Check whether Prime is required, whether the offer is available in your local store, and when it ends.
- Buy only if the offer meets your price target. A limited-time label is not, by itself, a reason to purchase.
What do Amazon’s past sales figures tell you?
Amazon’s historical recaps report that Prime Day shoppers purchased more than 375 million items worldwide and saved more than $2.5 billion in 2023; for 2022, Amazon reported more than 300 million items purchased worldwide and over $1.7 billion saved. Amazon Ads later described Prime Day 2025 as its biggest Prime Day event ever, with four days of record sales and more items sold than any previous Prime Day. These are company-reported event-wide figures, not evidence that an individual deal is worthwhile or that shoppers typically save a particular amount.
