Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days 2026 runs October 6–7, but the available reports do not support “save up to $300” as a reliable cap or confirm a Dell deal. Early monitor offers reported by deal publishers include Samsung models from $143.99 and an LG OLED ultrawide at $731.07. Those are dated price snapshots, not guaranteed checkout prices; compare the exact model and seller before buying.
When are October Prime Day monitor deals?
Amazon calls its October sale Prime Big Deal Days 2026. The event is scheduled for October 6–7, beginning October 6 at 12:01 a.m. PDT, and Amazon describes it as 48 hours of deals across more than 35 categories. Amazon’s announcement also mentions early offers, but does not establish that every monitor offer is Prime-exclusive or provide a monitor-specific deal list. Check the individual listing for current price, seller, stock, and any Prime eligibility.

Monitor deals reported ahead of the event
The following are prices reported by deal publishers, not guaranteed live prices. Technobezz said it checked its prices against Amazon at 7:07 a.m. ET on October 3, 2026, and warned that prices and availability can change. Other examples below come from reports published September 28 or October 1. The listed comparison prices are publisher references, not independent price-history audits.
| Monitor | Reported offer | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung ViewFinity S6 S61F, 27-inch QHD | $143.99; listed at 31% off by Technobezz on October 3. iClarified also listed $143.99 against $229.99. | Check the exact model and listing before comparing its reference price. |
| Samsung ViewFinity S7 S71H, 27-inch | $170.99; listed at 29% off by Technobezz. iClarified listed $170.99 against $249.99 for a 4K model. | Confirm the model suffix and resolution; listings may not describe identical variants. |
| Samsung Odyssey G55C, 32-inch | $189.99 in Technobezz’s October 3 roundup. | Reported as QHD, 165 Hz, curved at 1000R, with AMD FreeSync. The advertised 1 ms MPRT requires Extreme mode, according to the roundup. |
| Samsung 27-inch Odyssey G8 5K (G80HF) | $699.99 against $949.99 in iClarified’s October 1 roundup. | Check that the listing is for the G80HF variant. |
| Samsung 49-inch Odyssey G9 (G91F) | $649.99 against $999.99 in iClarified’s October 1 roundup. | Confirm the G91F model and the exact seller and checkout price. |
| Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SD) | Around $603 in reports from iClarified and 9to5Toys. | Verify exact listing and variant before comparing prices. |
| LG UltraGear 34-inch curved OLED (34GX900A-B) | $731.07 against $999.99 in iClarified’s October 1 roundup. | Check model number and current offer at checkout. |
| Samsung 40-inch ViewFinity S8 (S85TH) | $999.99 against a reported usual price of $1,400 in a 9to5Toys report. | The report describes a curved 5K2K 5120 × 2160 display, up to 144 Hz, Thunderbolt 5, and up to 140 W charging. Verify specifications on the exact product listing. |
These examples do not establish that Amazon is always the lowest-priced seller. PC Gamer’s October 2 comparison includes competing monitor offers at Walmart as well as Amazon; it also notes that the Samsung Odyssey G5 G50SF OLED at $330 had previously been available for slightly less. A crossed-out price or a large advertised discount alone does not show that an offer is the model’s best historical price.

How to choose the right monitor deal
Start with the job the monitor needs to do
- Office and productivity: Prioritize screen size, resolution, text clarity, stand adjustment, and the ports you need for your computer and peripherals.
- Creative work: Check the actual panel specifications and connectivity for your workflow. Do not assume a gaming model or a high resolution alone makes a display suitable for color-critical work.
- Gaming: Compare resolution and refresh rate together, and check the panel type and adaptive-sync support. A faster refresh rate may be a better fit than a larger or sharper screen, depending on the games and hardware you use.
Compare like with like
Compare screens in a similar size class and resolution before treating one offer as the better value. QHD, 4K, 5K, and 5K2K describe different resolutions; a 34-inch curved OLED ultrawide and a 27-inch office display are not direct substitutes. OLED, QD-OLED, VA, and IPS panels also have different characteristics, so the panel label is not a universal ranking.
Read gaming specifications carefully
Refresh rate and response-time claims describe different things. A headline response figure may depend on the test method or operating mode: Technobezz notes that the Odyssey G55C’s advertised 1 ms MPRT requires Extreme mode. Check the manufacturer’s specifications for the exact model rather than assuming a response claim applies under every setting.
Rank #2
- VIVID COLORS: Experience stunning colors across the entire display with the IPS panel. Colors remain bright and clear across the screen, even when you change angles. Tones and shades are represented consistently and beautifully with less color washing.
- SMOOTH PERFORMANCE: Stay in the action when playing games, watching videos, or working on creative projects. The 100Hz refresh rate reduces lag and motion blur so you don't miss a thing in fast-paced moments.¹
- MORE GAMING POWER: Gain a competitive edge with optimizable game settings. Color and image contrast can be instantly adjusted to see scenes more clearly, while Game Mode adjusts any game to fill your screen with every detail in view.
- EASY ON THE EYES: Protect your vision and stay comfortable, even during long sessions. Stay focused on your work with reduced blue light and screen flicker.²
- A MODERN AESTHETIC: Featuring a super-slim design with ultra-thin border bezels, this monitor enhances any setup with a sleek, modern look. Enjoy a lightweight and stylish addition to any environment.
Check connections and physical fit
Before ordering, verify the ports, charging output, stand adjustments, mount compatibility, curve, and physical dimensions on the exact model’s product page. This is especially important for a large curved or ultrawide screen. The 9to5Toys report highlights Thunderbolt 5 and up to 140 W charging for the ViewFinity S8 S85TH; confirm those details for the listing you intend to buy.
How to verify the real price before checkout
- Match the model number. Check the full model name and suffix on the product page; similar names can refer to different sizes, resolutions, or variants.
- Inspect the offer details. Confirm the seller, stock, delivery terms, any coupon, and whether the listing requires Prime membership. The event announcement does not prove that every monitor offer is Prime-exclusive.
- Check the payable total. Apply any coupon and review the price shown at checkout. Deal prices can change, and published reference prices do not by themselves establish historical value.
- Compare another retailer. The sale’s timing does not guarantee Amazon has the lowest price; PC Gamer’s comparison includes Walmart offers alongside Amazon listings.
What the “save up to $300” headline leaves out
The reported deals do not establish $300 as the maximum possible saving across the sale: iClarified’s October 1 roundup lists a Samsung monitor $350 below its stated reference price. That is a publisher comparison, not an independently verified saving or proof of a record low. Nor do the inspected reports establish a specific Dell October offer. Treat each offer on its own exact model, seller, and checkout price rather than assuming every brand named in a headline has a confirmed deal.
