NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Price and Release Date: Confirmed MSRP, Availability, and 8GB vs. 16GB

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti launched on April 16, 2025. NVIDIA set its U.S. launch MSRP at $379 for the 8GB model and $429 for the 16GB model, before sales tax. Both versions use GDDR7 memory and Blackwell architecture. NVIDIA did not offer a standard Founders Edition, so actual prices depend on the specific board-partner card, retailer, and market conditions.

Because the launch has already happened, the date is no longer expected or speculative. The figures below are launch MSRPs, not guaranteed current street prices.

RTX 5060 Ti price and launch date

Model VRAM U.S. launch MSRP Availability
GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB GDDR7 $379 April 16, 2025
GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB GDDR7 $429 April 16, 2025

NVIDIA announced the card family on April 15, 2025, and confirmed that both RTX 5060 Ti memory variants would become available the following day. Its official announcement describes the prices as starting points.

What the MSRP does—and does not—mean

The $379 and $429 figures are NVIDIA’s official U.S. launch MSRPs before sales tax. They are not universal prices for every RTX 5060 Ti card. ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, PNY, Zotac, and other partners sell cards with different coolers, dimensions, clock speeds, factory overclocks, power requirements, and warranty terms.

ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB GDDR7 OC Edition Gaming Graphics Card
  • AI Performance: 767 AI TOPS
  • OC mode: 2632 MHz (OC mode)/ 2602 MHz (Default mode)
  • Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4
  • Axial-tech fan design features a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure
  • A 2.5-slot design maximizes compatibility and cooling efficiency for superior performance in small chassis

A premium triple-fan card, a factory-overclocked model, a marketplace listing, limited stock, regional distribution costs, tariffs, or taxes can all push the retail price above MSRP. A current price should therefore be identified by the exact model, retailer, seller, region, and date checked. The original MSRP should not be treated as a guaranteed September 2026 street price.

RTX 5060 Ti 8GB vs. 16GB

The central buying decision is the extra $50 at launch:

  • 8GB: The lower-cost option for budget-focused 1080p gaming, competitive games, older titles, and buyers expecting to upgrade again soon.
  • 16GB: The better long-term choice for 1440p gaming, high-resolution texture packs, heavily modded games, ray tracing, and GPU-accelerated creative applications.

More VRAM does not automatically make the 16GB card twice as fast. It primarily provides a larger memory buffer, helping avoid texture compromises, stuttering, or memory-related limits in demanding workloads. The GPU’s core rendering performance remains the same class of product.

PNY NVIDIA GeForce RTX™ 5060 Ti 8GB OC Dual-Fan Graphics Card
  • Dual-Fan Cooling in a Compact Design - Two fans work together to distribute and dissipate heat efficiently across a compact design, delivering the thermal headroom to sustain boost clocks without demanding a full-length card slot.
  • Masterfully Crafted Cooling - A dense heatsink pulls heat away from the GPU while a vented metal backplate adds passive cooling and reinforces the card against sagging, resulting in lower temperatures for stronger performance and stability in demanding workloads.
  • Overclocked Out of the Box - A factory-tuned 2692 MHz boost clock delivers extra performance over reference specifications with no setup required, plus headroom to push further with VelocityX.
  • VelocityX Software - Gain full control over your PNY graphics card to maximize its performance. Fine-tune core and memory clocks, dial in custom fan curves, and monitor real-time temperatures and speeds, all from one intuitive interface. Save up to five profiles for instant recall.
  • NVIDIA Blackwell Architecture - The Ultimate Platform for Gamers and Creators. Do it all with 5th-Gen Tensor Cores for max AI performance, new streaming multiprocessors that are optimized for neural shaders, and 4th-Gen Ray Tracing Cores built for Mega Geometry.

The 8GB model is not universally unusable, but its limitations become more relevant as games, textures, ray tracing effects, and ownership periods grow. If the price difference is still close to the original $50, the 16GB version is generally easier to justify. If a 16GB partner card is heavily marked up, a faster competing GPU may offer better value.

Was there an RTX 5060 Ti Founders Edition?

NVIDIA did not list a standard Founders Edition RTX 5060 Ti, and launch coverage reported partner-board-only availability. Buyers therefore need to compare individual cards rather than assume there is one NVIDIA-designed retail model setting a universal shelf price.

Before buying, check:

  • Card length, height, and slot thickness
  • Power connector and recommended power-supply capacity
  • Cooling design and expected noise
  • Factory clock settings
  • Warranty and retailer return policy
  • Whether the seller is the retailer or a third-party marketplace merchant

A cheaper card is not a bargain if it does not fit the case or has weak return protection.

Core specifications and features

According to NVIDIA’s RTX 5060 family specifications, the RTX 5060 Ti is based on NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture and includes:

  • 8GB or 16GB of GDDR7 memory
  • A 128-bit memory interface
  • PCIe 5.0 connectivity
  • Hardware-accelerated ray tracing
  • DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation support
  • NVIDIA Reflex support
  • NVIDIA’s neural-rendering features and current display and video capabilities

Specifications can differ between partner cards, particularly dimensions, cooling, clock speeds, power input, and board layout. Check the manufacturer’s page for the exact model before ordering.

DLSS 4 and frame generation: an important qualification

DLSS Super Resolution reconstructs an image from a lower-resolution render. Frame Generation and Multi Frame Generation create additional frames using AI-based techniques. These technologies can make supported games appear smoother, but generated frames are not equivalent to native frames rendered directly by the GPU.

  • Metal Backplate, 8-pin PCIe power connector
  • 3 x DisplayPort 2.1b, 1 x HDMI 2.1b, 8K Ready, 4 Display Ready, HDCP 2.3, VR Ready

When comparing cards, separate:

  • Native raster performance
  • Ray-tracing performance
  • DLSS Super Resolution results
  • Frame-generation output
  • Latency and responsiveness

A high frame-rate figure produced with Multi Frame Generation should not be interpreted as the same thing as equally high native performance. NVIDIA’s launch-day driver coverage provides additional information about the promoted software features.

Who should buy each version?

Choose the 8GB model if:

  • Your main target is 1080p gaming.
  • You mostly play competitive, older, or less demanding games.
  • Your budget is strict and the card is substantially cheaper than the 16GB version.
  • You expect to replace the GPU relatively soon.

Choose the 16GB model if:

  • You plan to play at 1440p.
  • You intend to keep the card for several years.
  • You use high-resolution texture packs or mods.
  • You run video editing, 3D, AI, or other GPU-accelerated applications.
  • The price premium remains close to the original $50.

Neither version is a high-end 4K solution simply because it supports DLSS 4. If a higher-tier RTX 4070, RTX 4070 Super, RTX 5070-class card, AMD Radeon alternative, or used previous-generation GPU is priced close enough, compare native performance, VRAM, power use, features, warranty, and condition rather than choosing by model number alone.

Is the RTX 5060 Ti worth buying?

The answer depends on the price you can actually find. The 16GB model is the more durable purchase when it is near its $429 launch MSRP. The 8GB model is most defensible for a 1080p-focused buyer or when its discount is large enough to offset its smaller memory capacity.

  • Axial-tech fans feature a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure

Be more cautious when a premium partner card approaches the price of a substantially faster GPU, when an 8GB card is intended for long-term high-setting 1440p gaming, or when a marketplace seller has unclear warranty and return terms. NVIDIA-specific advantages such as DLSS, ray tracing, Reflex, and creator-software support may matter, but they should not replace a comparison of actual retail prices and native performance.

Where to check availability

For U.S. buyers, listings can be checked at Best Buy, Newegg, and Amazon. Treat these as retailer search pages, not proof of a particular price or stock status. Confirm the exact manufacturer, memory capacity, seller, shipping cost, tax treatment, and return policy before purchasing.

For official specifications, consult NVIDIA’s product page and the specific board partner’s listing. Do not convert the U.S. MSRP directly into local pricing: VAT, sales tax, exchange rates, import costs, and regional distribution all affect prices outside the United States.
