Investors deposit USDC into the vault on Ethereum and receive nvHOME, a token that represents a proportional share of the vault. It does not represent any individual loan. NUVA’s marketplace now lists HOME as Live. CoinDesk’s October 8, 2026 report described HOME as an introduction, so the marketplace listing is the more current status to check.
HOME is the vault; nvHOME is the token you hold
HOME is the name of the vault. nvHOME is the ticker of the vault token. A depositor who sends USDC into the vault receives nvHOME, which represents a proportional share of what the vault holds. Your exposure rises and falls with the value of the portfolio, but you do not own any specific mortgage or HELOC.

CoinDesk quotes Anthony Moro, CEO of Nuva Labs, on the problem the product addresses: “Traditional securitization was built primarily for institutional investors,” and “For individual investors, those structures can be difficult to access.” He also says that “HOME holders do not directly own the underlying loans.” Holders instead hold tokens that provide exposure to assets in the vault.
What the vault lends against
NUVA currently describes HOME as U.S. residential housing private credit, starting with HELOCs. Two further loan types, DSCR loans and residential transition loans, are expected after launch. Treat them as planned rather than as part of the portfolio today. DSCR loans are generally underwritten on a rental property’s income rather than the borrower’s personal income. Residential transition loans are typically short-term loans on homes being renovated or repositioned.
#1 Best Overall
Three parties have distinct roles:
- Figure Investment Advisors LLC manages the portfolio. It screens loans against a published buybox, builds the portfolio for duration, mix and diversification, and monitors performance.
- Figure Technology Solutions and its partners originate or source the loans through Figure Connect. NUVA identifies Figure Technology Solutions as the issuer or source of HOME assets.
- NUVA operates the marketplace where HOME is offered, and sets the policy rate together with the manager.
NUVA’s screening criteria include FICO score, loan-to-value, debt-to-income, coupon, delinquency status, loan age, term, lien balances, property information and repayment history. According to NUVA’s HOME documentation, Figure applies a 28-point automated underwriting process with no manual exceptions. The same documentation reports cumulative losses below 1% across more than $28 billion of Figure originations since 2018. That is an issuer-reported historical figure for Figure’s originations, as presented in NUVA’s documentation (page accessed in 2026). It is not a performance result for the HOME vault and not an expected future loss rate.
How to get in and how to get out
Access runs through a compatible wallet holding stablecoins, and it is subject to AML screening and geographic blocks. NUVA’s public description does not spell out what the screening involves. The process runs in four steps:
- Set up a wallet compatible with the Ethereum vault and hold USDC in it.
- Complete AML screening and confirm that your location is not restricted.
- Deposit USDC into the HOME vault. You receive nvHOME in return, representing a proportional share of the vault.
- Initiate a withdrawal when you want to exit. NUVA says withdrawal requests can be started 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and that HOME withdrawals typically process within three U.S. business days. Larger requests can follow a different path, described in the liquidity section below.
Where the 7.00% target comes from
NUVA’s marketplace lists a 7.00% target APY for HOME. Three points define what that number is:
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Rank #2
- It is a target. NUVA’s product page labels 7.00% as illustrative and says outcomes are not guaranteed.
- The policy rate is set by NUVA and the manager and reset monthly. It is reflected in nvHOME’s price rather than paid out as a separate distribution.
- NUVA describes a payment order. nvHOME’s net asset value accrues at the target rate, management fees are paid, and any excess spread goes to the first-loss equity tranche.
On the order NUVA describes, spread above the target flows to the first-loss tranche rather than to nvHOME. Realized returns therefore depend on what the loans actually pay, what fees are charged, and how losses are absorbed.
Liquidity: two buffers and the large-exit path
NUVA describes two structural components that support redemptions and loss absorption. Neither is a guarantee.
YLDS liquidity sleeve
The YLDS liquidity sleeve is targeted at about 5% of HOME’s total value locked (TVL). It is intended to support smaller redemptions.
Rank #3
First-loss equity tranche
A separate first-loss equity tranche is targeted at about 5% of the vault cap. It is designed to take portfolio losses before nvHOME holders do. Because the buffer is sized at roughly 5% of the cap, losses larger than that would reach nvHOME holders.

Large redemptions
Larger redemption needs can involve whole-loan sales, executed through Figure Connect or over-the-counter (OTC) channels. NUVA says typical HOME withdrawals process within three U.S. business days. That is NUVA’s own timeline. NUVA’s materials do not show that it would hold during a period of heavy redemptions, when loans may need to be sold quickly.
Risks to weigh before depositing
- Credit losses. Borrowers can default, and losses reduce the value of the portfolio that nvHOME represents.
- Rate and valuation changes. Loan values can move with interest rates, and the monthly-reset policy rate affects what nvHOME is expected to earn.
- Liquidity mismatch. Redemption demand can exceed the liquidity available. Loans may then be sold early, possibly at a discount.
- Smart-contract, oracle, exploit and key-compromise risk. Contract bugs, faulty price inputs, attacks on the contracts, or compromise of controlling keys could harm holders.
- Operational risk. Servicing, reporting and onboarding depend on several firms, including Figure entities and NUVA. A failure at any one could delay or complicate redemptions.
Safeguards NUVA describes
Besides the buybox, portfolio monitoring, first-loss tranche, YLDS sleeve and whole-loan sales covered above, NUVA cites the following controls. They reduce or manage risk; they do not guarantee principal or yield.
- Smart-contract audits and a bug-bounty program.
- Monitoring by Hypernative.
- 6-of-9 multisig controls.
- A 48-hour timelock on contract upgrades.
Eligibility and what is still unclear
NUVA describes access through a compatible wallet with stablecoins, subject to AML screening and geographic blocks. NUVA’s public materials do not establish which jurisdictions are blocked or permitted. Do not assume that every offshore investor can participate.
Also not established in the material available: the exact offering form, the legal classification of nvHOME, tax treatment, and the investor eligibility rules that apply. Read NUVA’s current official terms for your jurisdiction, and take tax advice, before depositing.
The HELOC market behind the product
The figures below describe the market that HOME’s first loan type sits in. They come from different dates and publishers, so compare them only within their own row.
Best Value
| Figure | What it measures | Source and date |
|---|---|---|
| $460 billion | U.S. HELOC balances in Q2 2026 | Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED), 2026, as reported by CoinDesk |
| $13 billion increase | Increase in U.S. HELOC balances in Q2 2026, the 17th consecutive quarterly increase | Federal Reserve Bank of New York, 2026, as reported by CoinDesk |
| More than $420 billion | U.S. HELOC balances outstanding in the first half of 2025 | NUVA, 2025, from its HOME deep dive. This is an earlier period than the Q2 2026 figures, so it is not a like-for-like comparison. |
HOME compared with nvPRIME
NUVA’s own comparison starts with the exposure each product holds, not with headline rates. Headline yields are not a like-for-like comparison, because the two products earn returns from different exposures. The table sets out the axes NUVA identifies.
| Axis | HOME | nvPRIME |
|---|---|---|
| Exposure type | Managed U.S. residential-credit portfolio | Financing or repo-style exposure |
| Portfolio management | Active | Passive pass-through |
| Rate profile | Target set by NUVA and the manager, reset monthly | Market-driven |
| Typical withdrawal processing | Up to three U.S. business days, per NUVA’s comparison | Up to two U.S. business days, per NUVA’s comparison |
Partners and the wider ecosystem
CoinDesk describes NUVA as a real-world-asset (RWA) marketplace created by Animoca Brands and Nuva Labs. Figure’s roles in HOME are covered above.
Nuva Labs’ August 6, 2026 announcement says it partnered with Black Lake Digital Markets across asset tokenization, onchain data security and future distribution. According to that announcement, earlier work by the two companies tokenized more than 4,000 down-payment-assistance mortgage loans valued at over $25 million on Provenance Blockchain. Those loans form a separate pool from HOME’s portfolio and should not be read as part of it.

Al Qureshi, CEO and co-founder of Black Lake Digital Markets, is quoted: “But institutional buyers need a test they can run themselves rather than another party’s assurance.”
Checks to run before you deposit
- Confirm the listing is Live on NUVA’s marketplace, and check the current APY and TVL there, since both change.
- Review the loan-level data and vault-level Proof of Reserves that NUVA says are available onchain, and compare them with the portfolio description.
- Confirm that your wallet is compatible and that your jurisdiction is not restricted.
- Size the position so you can wait out a withdrawal that takes longer than the typical timeline.
The Bottom Line
HOME suits eligible investors who want pooled exposure to U.S. home-equity credit, can accept a multi-day exit and smart-contract risk, and read 7.00% as a target rather than a payout. It is a poor fit for anyone who needs guaranteed yield, same-day liquidity, or a clear legal position in their own country.
