OPPO’s India product details identify the model and note that specifications can vary by region.

Price difference in India
There is no synchronized set of current sale prices in the available figures. Android Central reported Nothing’s India launch prices on 12 March 2026; OPPO’s India details page gives Reno16 prices stated correct as at 31 August 2026 and says prices may change. Treat the difference as a dated guide, and check current listings for the exact variant before buying.

| Rear cameras | 50MP main, 50MP 3.5x optical telephoto, 8MP ultrawide, as reported by Android Central | 50MP wide with OIS, 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP telephoto with OIS and 3.5x optical zoom, according to OPPO India |
| Display | A complete official India specification was not available in the cited Nothing material | 16.05cm AMOLED; FHD+ 2640 × 1216; up to 120Hz; 460 PPI, according to OPPO India |
| Battery and charging | A complete official India battery and charging specification was not available in the cited Nothing material | 6700mAh typical / 6490mAh rated; 80W SUPERVOOC; OPPO says a charger is included |
| Protection rating | An official India rating was not established in the cited material | IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K, as listed by OPPO India |
| Software | Nothing OS with Essential AI tools on Nothing’s product page. Android Central reports Android 16 and quotes a three-year software-update commitment from Nothing | ColorOS 16.0, listed by OPPO India |
Nothing’s accessible Phone (4a) product page identifies Nothing OS, Essential AI tools, a three-camera system and an 8GB/128GB option, but does not provide all the India specifications needed for a complete comparison. The cited processor names do not establish which phone performs better in everyday use; no benchmark comparison is available here.
Camera: similar telephoto reach, different listed supporting cameras
Both phones are documented with a 50MP 3.5x optical telephoto camera. OPPO’s India specifications also list OIS on the wide and telephoto cameras, alongside a 50MP ultrawide. Android Central reports a 50MP main, 50MP telephoto and 8MP ultrawide for Nothing. Those specifications describe hardware, not resulting image quality: megapixel counts and stabilization labels alone cannot establish which phone takes better photos. No direct side-by-side camera test is available for this comparison.

OPPO specifies a 16.05cm FHD+ AMOLED panel with a refresh rate up to 120Hz. A matching official India display specification for the Nothing Phone (4a) is not established in the cited material, so a display winner cannot be named on this evidence.
OPPO lists a 6700mAh typical battery capacity (6490mAh rated) and 80W SUPERVOOC charging. Capacity and charging wattage do not, by themselves, predict battery life or total charging time; usage, software and other conditions matter. Nothing’s corresponding official India figures are not established here.
OPPO lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for this Reno16 variant. Nothing’s India protection rating is not established in the cited material, so do not assume it is lower or higher. A protection rating is not a guarantee against damage in every real-world exposure.
Software and update support
Nothing’s product page describes Nothing OS and Essential AI tools. Android Central reports that the Phone (4a) ships with Android 16 and quotes Nothing as promising three years of software updates. That is a publication’s account of Nothing’s statement, not an independently verified support policy here. OPPO lists ColorOS 16.0 for the Reno16, but the cited OPPO details do not establish a directly comparable update period. Compare each maker’s current support terms before treating longevity as a deciding factor.
Which phone should you buy?
Choose the Nothing Phone (4a) if price is your priority
Its reported India launch prices are much lower than OPPO’s later listed prices, including at the 8GB/256GB tier. This is a price-based reason to shortlist Nothing, not a claim that it is better value at today’s live prices; check current offers and verify its missing official India specifications first.

Consider the OPPO Reno16 5G if its documented hardware matches your priorities
OPPO’s listed details may appeal if you specifically want a 120Hz AMOLED display, a 50MP ultrawide, OIS on the wide and telephoto cameras, the stated battery and charging figures, or its listed IP ratings. These are specification-based reasons to consider it, not evidence of superior camera results, endurance or overall performance.
Check before checkout
- Confirm the OPPO listing says Reno16 5G CPH2865, not Reno16c CPH2859 or a model for another market.
- Compare the same RAM and storage configuration, and use prices captured on the same date.
- Verify Nothing’s official India display, battery, charging, protection and software-support details if any of those will decide your purchase.
- For OPPO India, the listed package includes a charger, USB cable, SIM ejector, protective case and quick guide; OPPO cautions that box contents can vary by market.
OPPO says the India Reno16 is available through its store, authorized retail partners and offline stores; its July 2026 launch announcement also named Amazon as a sales channel. Nothing’s India Phone (4a) page links to Flipkart. Channel mentions do not confirm current stock or price.
