The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro and vivo V70 FE are both large-screen Android phones with the same listed display size and resolution, but they lead with different strengths. vivo’s published specifications give the V70 FE a larger battery (7000mAh typical) and faster charging (90W). Nothing’s specifications, as reported by TechRadar, give the Phone (4a) Pro a higher maximum refresh rate (144Hz) and a periscope telephoto camera. Megapixel counts and chip names do not settle which phone is better.
A true price difference cannot be stated from the store listings checked, because they are for different countries and different prices in different currencies. A meaningful comparison needs one market and one storage configuration.

- Non-yellowing TPU bumper and polycarbonate back
- Air Cushion Bumper design for enhanced shock protection
- Built-in strap holes to attach wrist straps and other accessories
TechRadar’s review is a hands-on review of the Nothing phone. The sources checked do not include an independent review or head-to-head test that puts both phones through the same tests, so none of the differences above should be read as measured performance.
Battery and charging
On paper, the V70 FE has the larger battery and faster wired charging. vivo’s figure is a typical capacity, while the Nothing figure is a stated capacity; the two manufacturers do not publish their test conditions in a way that allows a direct runtime comparison. Real-world battery life depends on screen settings, network, workload and the phone’s software, so a capacity number is a starting point, not a result.
Charging speed has the same limit. The 90W and 50W figures describe each phone’s maximum rated wired input. The time to a full charge depends on the charger you use, the starting battery level and the phone’s thermal behavior during charging. TechRadar’s table lists no wireless charging for the Nothing phone. If you plan to charge at high wattage, use the charger supplied in your market’s box and confirm its rating before you buy.
Cameras
The two camera systems are built around different roles rather than a single comparable setup. vivo’s V70 FE uses a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), plus an 8MP wide-angle unit with a 120-degree field of view. vivo’s listed rear setup does not include a dedicated telephoto camera. The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro, according to TechRadar, adds a 50MP periscope camera alongside a 50MP main and 8MP ultra-wide.
A higher megapixel count does not make a camera better. Pixel binning, sensor size, lens quality and processing all affect the final image, and none of those are established for these two phones by the sources checked. Readers who want a telephoto option should prioritize the Nothing layout; readers who want a higher-resolution main camera should look at vivo’s stated setup. Neither should be assumed superior from the spec sheet alone.
The front camera differs between sources. vivo’s global specification page lists 32MP, while the India store listing describes a 50MP front camera. Confirm which front camera your local unit uses before comparing selfie quality.
Rank #2
- Heavy-duty bumper frame case
- Anti-slip embossed texture for a secure grip
- Non-yellowing TPU bumper and polycarbonate back
- Air Cushion Bumper design for enhanced shock protection
- Built-in strap holes to attach wrist straps and other accessories
Display and refresh rate
Both phones are listed at 2800×1260 on a 6.83-inch panel, so the sharpness and screen size are similar on paper. The main difference is the refresh rate: Nothing’s listed maximum is 144Hz, and vivo’s is up to 120Hz. A higher maximum does not mean the screen runs at that rate all the time. Adaptive refresh rate settings decide when the phone uses high or lower rates to save power, and those settings can vary by app and by phone configuration.

Chip, software and durability
Chipset
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and Dimensity 7360-Turbo are both mid-range chips from different manufacturers. Their names alone do not establish which is faster in daily use, in games or in sustained workloads. Independent benchmarks on the exact phones would be needed for a performance claim, and the sources checked do not supply one.
Software
Both phones are listed with Android 16, with Nothing OS 4.1 on the Nothing phone and OriginOS 6 on the vivo. Interface preference is a matter of taste. Update commitments are not established here for either model; check the manufacturer’s current support policy for your market before relying on a specific number of OS or security updates.
Water and dust resistance
The Nothing phone is listed at IP65 by TechRadar, and the V70 FE is listed at IP68 and IP69 on vivo’s global specifications. These ratings describe defined dust and water-jet or immersion tests. They do not mean either phone is designed for routine use in water. vivo’s specifications also note that water and dust resistance can decline with daily use, and that liquid damage is not covered by warranty.
Prices by market
The price pages checked show each phone in a different market, so they cannot be compared directly. Store prices can change, and a displayed discount is not always a permanent price.

Quick Recap
Which phone fits which priorities
- Battery and charging speed: The V70 FE’s listed 7000mAh typical battery and 90W charging give it the stronger stated numbers.
- Refresh rate and telephoto: The Phone (4a) Pro’s listed 144Hz maximum and 50MP periscope camera favor it for those features.
- Dust and water ratings: The V70 FE’s IP68 and IP69 ratings are higher than the Nothing phone’s listed IP65, though neither rating implies underwater use.
- Local value: Compare prices only for the same country, storage tier and local model number, and check warranty, network-band support and what is in the box.
What is not established
- Real-world battery life, charging time or camera quality for either phone.
- Relative chip performance, gaming or thermal behavior.
- A cross-market price gap or a current price for either phone in a market where both are sold.
- Update commitments for either model.
- Whether the India store’s 50MP front camera applies to every V70 FE sold in India.
