What is the same—and what changes?
Display: matching headline figures
Both phones list a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with 1080 × 2392 resolution and adaptive refresh up to 120 Hz. The CMF Phone 2 Pro page additionally lists HDR10+, peak brightness of 3,000 nits and 1,000 Hz touch sampling. These are manufacturer specifications, not a matched brightness or display-quality test, so they do not establish which screen looks better in real conditions.
Performance: different chips, no tested winner
The Phone (3a) uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3; the CMF Phone 2 Pro uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Pro 5G. Both are listed as eight-core processors with a maximum clock speed of up to 2.5 GHz. The CMF specification also identifies a 4 nm process. Different chip names and specifications are not a substitute for comparable benchmark or everyday-use testing, so the available figures do not show which phone is faster.
Cameras: similar rear layout, differing stabilization details
Each phone lists a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP telephoto camera with 2× optical zoom and an 8 MP ultra-wide. The Phone (3a) page lists both optical image stabilization (OIS) and electronic image stabilization (EIS) for its main camera; CMF lists EIS. The Phone (3a) telephoto also specifies 4× in-sensor zoom. The front-camera resolution is 32 MP on the Phone (3a), versus 16 MP on the CMF Phone 2 Pro.

- Google Pixel 10a is a durable, everyday phone with more[1]; snap brilliant photography on a simple, powerful camera, get 30+ hours out of a full charge[2], and do more with helpful AI like Gemini[3]
- Unlocked Android phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan; it works with Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers
- Pixel 10a is sleek and durable, with a super smooth finish, scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 7i display, and IP68 water and dust protection[4]
- The Actua display with 3,000-nit peak brightness shows up clear as day, even in direct sunlight[5]
- Plan, create, and get more done with help from Gemini, your built-in AI assistant[3]; have it screen spam calls while you focus[6]; chat with Gemini to brainstorm your meal plan[7], or bring your ideas to life with Nano Banana[8]
These differences describe hardware and listed features, not the quality of photos or video. More megapixels do not by themselves prove better selfies, and stabilization labels do not establish which phone produces steadier footage. A camera verdict would require matched samples or testing.
Battery and charging: equal capacity, manufacturer playback claims
Both list a 5,000 mAh battery. Nothing advertises up to 26 hours of YouTube playback for the Phone (3a) and up to 22 hours for the CMF Phone 2 Pro; these are manufacturer claims, not independent test results, and the cited excerpts do not provide test conditions. The CMF page lists 33 W charging. The cited Phone (3a) excerpt does not state a charging figure, so the available specifications do not support a direct charging-speed comparison.
Software support: one documented commitment
The CMF Phone 2 Pro’s official page specifies Nothing OS 3.2 based on Android 15 and commits to three years of Android updates and six years of security patches, counted from the phone’s first availability on nothing.tech. The Phone (3a) page excerpt lists Nothing OS 3 but does not establish a comparable update duration. That evidence does not show that the phones have equal support terms; buyers weighing long-term use should confirm the current support policy for the Phone (3a) in their market.

What to check before buying
- Local price: Compare the same storage configuration and the final checkout total in your country.
- Network compatibility: Check the phone’s supported bands against your carrier and region; the listed comparison does not establish compatibility for every market.
- Camera or speed priorities: Look for credible, matched testing if photo quality, video stabilization or performance is decisive. The specifications alone do not identify a measured winner.
- Support policy: Confirm the current regional Phone (3a) update commitment if software longevity is important.
- In-box items: Verify the contents listed for your market rather than assuming packaging is identical everywhere.
