Nothing Phone (3a) vs OPPO K13 Turbo: Specs Compared and Why the Price Gap Depends on Your Market

The Nothing Phone (3a) and the OPPO K13 Turbo 5G are built around different priorities. Nothing’s official specifications centre on cameras and software: three rear lenses, including a 50MP telephoto, a 32MP selfie camera and a stated six years of security patches. OPPO’s centre on sustained gaming and endurance: a Dimensity 8450, an active cooling fan, a 7,000mAh typical battery and charging up to 80W.

Both sets of figures are manufacturer specifications. Neither phone has been compared here through independent performance, camera or battery testing.

The price gap is the question most readers arrive with, and it cannot be answered with a single number yet. Nothing’s Europe product page displays €329. OPPO’s official India pages do not state a selling price for the K13 Turbo. Those figures come from different markets, so subtracting one from the other would be meaningless. The sections below show what is established and what you need to fix before comparing prices.

Why there is no single price difference

A price gap only means something when two phones are priced in the same country, by the same seller, on the same date, for the same storage tier. The available official pages do not meet that standard for these two models.

Nothing’s Europe price

Nothing’s Europe product page displayed €329 when checked in 2026, and listed 8+128GB and 12+256GB variants. The visible page does not make clear that €329 applies to every variant, so confirm the price for the exact storage tier at the point of purchase. This is a regional product-page figure, not a global price.

OPPO’s India pages

OPPO India’s official K13 Turbo specification and product pages list storage options but do not state a selling price. Any figure you find for the K13 Turbo should be checked against the seller’s own listing and dated.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Avoid the OPPO K13 price

Some search results show ₹17,999 for the OPPO K13. That is a different model. It must not be used as the price of the K13 Turbo.

What a fair price comparison needs

  1. Choose one country and one retailer. Use the same retailer for both phones so delivery, tax and warranty terms match.
  2. Compare the 8+128GB configuration. It is the only storage tier that both official listings include.
  3. Record the date. Retailer prices change, and launch-period discounts or bundled offers can distort a comparison. This article does not verify current stock, discounts or exchange offers for either phone.
  4. Check what is in the box. Nothing lists a screen protector. OPPO lists a protective case and a fan-cleaning brush. Neither is presented as a required extra purchase, but a bundled accessory changes the effective price.

Cameras: more focal lengths on the Nothing

The Nothing Phone (3a) offers the broader rear-camera set on paper. Its telephoto lens gives a different framing option from the main camera, and its ultrawide covers a wider field of view. The OPPO K13 Turbo pairs a main camera with a 2MP monochrome sensor. A monochrome sensor is a specialised addition, and its practical value depends on how you shoot.

Spec sheets show what hardware exists, not how it performs. Lens count, sensor size, processing and night modes all affect results, and none of these were measured in the sources behind this comparison. For selfies, the Nothing’s 32MP front camera has more resolution than OPPO’s 16MP, but resolution alone does not tell you how well a phone handles skin tones, low light or video stabilisation.

Gaming hardware and cooling

The OPPO K13 Turbo is the more clearly gaming-oriented design. Its Dimensity 8450 and active cooling fan are the core of that positioning. OPPO’s own press release, dated July 30, 2025, describes both K13 Turbo models as engineered for consistent performance during long gaming sessions and peak-performance productivity throughout the day. That is manufacturer positioning.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

OPPO’s India product page also says its laboratory data shows a 20% enhancement in overall thermal dissipation with Storm Engine activated. That is a manufacturer-reported comparison under conditions OPPO did not publish in these sources. It is not an independent test.

The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and Dimensity 8450 belong to different chip families, and neither spec sheet establishes which one delivers higher frame rates or holds them longer. Nothing’s product page does not list a built-in cooling fan, so sustained-load behaviour for the Nothing Phone (3a) cannot be judged from its specifications.

A fan brings trade-offs that spec sheets do not capture. Fan noise, dust accumulation in the cooling module and the separate water-resistance qualification (covered below) all matter if you plan to game for long sessions.

Battery and charging

OPPO states a 7,000mAh typical capacity and a 6,830mAh rated capacity. The gap between typical and rated figures is normal for manufacturers to report, and it means the larger number should be read as an approximation. Nothing’s 5,000mAh is a rated figure on its product page.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

On charging, OPPO’s up-to-80W SUPERVOOC figure is the higher maximum. Nothing’s 50W wired charging is lower, though it also offers reverse wired charging at 7.5W. Real endurance depends on screen brightness, network conditions and workload, and real charge times depend on the charger and cable used. Neither phone’s battery life has been independently measured in the sources behind this comparison.

Display

Nothing lists a 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED panel at 1080 × 2392 pixels. OPPO lists a 17.27cm AMOLED panel at 2800 × 1280 pixels. Both support refresh rates up to 120Hz, with Nothing stating adaptive refresh.

Calculated from the stated dimensions, the Nothing panel works out to roughly 388 pixels per inch and the OPPO panel to roughly 453 pixels per inch. Pixel density is a better guide to sharpness than the total pixel count, but the calculation only uses the manufacturers’ figures. Colour accuracy, brightness and panel quality are not established here. Regional variants may also differ, so confirm the display specification for your market.

Durability and water resistance

Nothing lists IP64 for the Nothing Phone (3a). OPPO advertises IP66, IP68 and IP69 for the K13 Turbo, but states that this phone-body rating does not cover the independent cooling fan module.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

IP codes describe standardised test categories: the first digit covers dust protection and the second covers water. A higher rating in one category does not mean the whole device is equivalent in every condition. Because the fan module sits outside the body rating, OPPO’s headline rating should not be read as protection for every part of the K13 Turbo. The exact test conditions behind each rating are not stated in the sources reviewed here.

Software and update support

Nothing states that the Phone (3a) runs Nothing OS 3.1 on Android 15, with three major Android version updates and six years of security patches. Those are the clearest support commitments in either set of sources.

OPPO’s K13 Turbo specification page names ColorOS 15.0 but does not state an update duration. Do not assume the two phones receive the same support length. Check OPPO’s current support policy for your market before deciding on that basis.

Which phone fits which priorities

  • Choose the Nothing Phone (3a) if you want more rear focal lengths, a stronger front camera on paper, and a stated six-year security patch commitment, and if its price in your market is lower or comparable to the OPPO.
  • Choose the OPPO K13 Turbo if you want the larger stated battery, faster maximum charging and an active cooling system for long gaming sessions, and you accept fan maintenance, fan noise and the narrower protection scope of its rating.
  • Do not decide on price alone until you have a same-market, same-retailer, same-storage quote for both phones.

This is a specification-based guide. It is not a recommendation based on hands-on testing of either phone.
