The OnePlus 15R is the stronger fit for a larger, faster-refreshing display, higher listed battery capacity and benchmark performance. The Nothing Phone 3 is the better fit if you want a dedicated periscope telephoto camera and wireless charging. For price, compare both phones in your country at the same storage tier: the available figures are a mix of reported launch prices and a dated India snapshot, not guaranteed live prices.
At a glance: the biggest differences
| Decision point | Nothing Phone 3 | OnePlus 15R | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|
| Display | 6.67-inch AMOLED, 120 Hz | 6.83-inch AMOLED, 165 Hz | The OnePlus has the larger screen and higher listed maximum refresh rate. |
| Processor named in the comparison | Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 | Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 | The chipset names and reported benchmarks favor the OnePlus, but do not guarantee identical real-world results for every user. |
| Rear cameras | 50 MP main, 50 MP ultrawide and 50 MP periscope; up to 3x optical zoom | 50 MP main and 8 MP ultrawide; no telephoto listed | Nothing offers more dedicated zoom reach on paper. |
| Front camera | 50 MP | 32 MP | Resolution alone does not establish which takes better selfies. |

| Charging listed | 65 W wired; 15 W wireless; 5 W reverse wireless | 80 W wired; no wireless charging listed | Nothing supports wireless charging, including 5 W reverse wireless charging for accessories. |
| Storage shown in the comparison | 256 GB | 256 GB | Other configurations may vary by market; compare equivalent storage when checking prices. |

Specification values above are from the 91mobiles comparison, except Nothing’s wireless charging details, which are also stated on Nothing’s official Phone (3) product page, and the OnePlus typical battery-capacity qualification, stated on OnePlus’s US specifications page. Package contents and charger availability can differ by region; check the exact local listing rather than assuming a charger is included.

Which phone has the better camera setup?
Choose Nothing for optical zoom flexibility
Nothing lists four 50 MP cameras: a main camera, an ultrawide, a periscope telephoto and a front camera. The comparison lists up to 3x optical zoom for the periscope. That dedicated telephoto lens gives the Phone 3 a hardware advantage for distant subjects over a setup with no telephoto camera listed.
OnePlus has fewer listed rear-camera options
The comparison lists a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide for the OnePlus 15R, with no telephoto camera. That does not establish that every photo from the Nothing will look better: camera processing, lighting, focus and the scene all matter. The available sources do not provide a controlled side-by-side camera shoot, so the hardware specifications support a comparison of flexibility, not a definitive image-quality verdict.

Which has the longer-lasting battery and more useful charging?
The 91mobiles comparison lists a 7,400 mAh battery for the OnePlus 15R and 5,150 mAh for the Nothing Phone 3. OnePlus identifies 7,400 mAh as the typical capacity on its US specifications page. The OnePlus has the larger stated capacity, but actual time between charges depends on use, network conditions, settings and software.
On the same 91mobiles page, reported PC Mark battery results are 18 hours 13 minutes for the OnePlus and 13 hours 5 minutes for the Nothing. These are results reported by that comparison page, not an independently verified head-to-head test here; test conditions and software can affect such figures.

For charging, the comparison lists 80 W wired charging for OnePlus and 65 W for Nothing. Nothing’s official India product page additionally states 15 W wireless charging and 5 W reverse wireless charging. The comparison lists no wireless charging for the OnePlus 15R. Wired charging wattage is a listed specification, not a guarantee of a particular charging time in every region or condition.

How different are the displays?
The OnePlus 15R’s listed 6.83-inch AMOLED display is larger than the Nothing Phone 3’s 6.67-inch AMOLED display. Its listed maximum refresh rate is also higher: 165 Hz versus 120 Hz. A higher refresh rate can make supported motion appear smoother, while the larger panel gives more screen area; neither specification by itself establishes brightness, color accuracy or overall display quality.

What do the performance figures show?
The comparison page names the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 for the OnePlus 15R and Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 for the Nothing Phone 3. It reports Geekbench multi-core scores of 9,363 and 7,123 respectively, and AnTuTu scores of 2,957,229 and 1,930,244. These are figures reported by 91mobiles, not tests conducted for this article. Benchmark results can vary with software, device settings, temperature and test conditions; they indicate a result in a particular test rather than a guaranteed everyday speed difference.
For a buyer whose priorities are gaming or demanding workloads, the reported results favor the OnePlus. They should be weighed alongside the work you actually do, rather than treated as a promise that every app or game will run better by the same margin.

What is the price difference?
Reported OnePlus launch prices
T3’s January 2026 price table reports these OnePlus 15R launch prices. They are launch figures, not confirmed current retail quotes:
| OnePlus 15R configuration | UK | Europe | US |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12 GB RAM / 256 GB storage | £649 | €699 | $699.99 |
| 12 GB RAM / 512 GB storage | £729 | €799 | $799.99 |
These regional launch prices are reported by T3’s OnePlus 15R review, published 10 January 2026. They should not be read as current offers or compared directly across currencies.
India comparison-page snapshot
The 91mobiles comparison page accessed in 2026 showed ₹59,999 for the OnePlus 15R and ₹51,999 for the Nothing Phone 3, with the Nothing marked out of stock. This is a dated page snapshot, not a live quote or confirmation of availability. It does not establish today’s price difference.
How to make a fair price comparison
- Check both models in the same country and currency, at the same retailer or equivalent retailers.
- Match storage and, where relevant, RAM configuration; the comparison’s shown storage is 256 GB for each, while higher configurations and regional lineups may differ.
- Use the price and stock status on the day you plan to buy. Discounts and availability can change, and a listed price for an out-of-stock phone is not a purchase option.
- Check the local package contents separately if a charger matters to your total cost.
Which one should you choose?
Choose the OnePlus 15R if
- You value the larger 6.83-inch screen and its listed 165 Hz refresh rate.
- You prioritize the larger listed battery capacity and faster listed wired charging.
- You want the performance choice favored by the 91mobiles benchmark figures, while recognizing that benchmarks are not a guarantee of your own experience.
Choose the Nothing Phone 3 if
- You want a dedicated periscope telephoto camera and up to 3x optical zoom listed in the comparison.
- Wireless charging or reverse wireless charging for accessories is important to you.
- You prefer its camera hardware even though the available evidence does not establish a universal image-quality winner.
T3 reviewer Mike Lowe wrote in his 10 January 2026 review that “If you care not for cameras and want to save some cash, then the OnePlus 15R is a stellar handset.” That is the reviewer’s assessment, not a universal verdict; the price advantage depends on current local prices and the buyer’s priorities. 91mobiles also displayed platform-specific ratings of 4.4/5 from 4,258 Nothing Phone 3 user ratings and 4.5/5 from 3,291 OnePlus 15R ratings when accessed in 2026. Those counts and scores can change and should not be treated as a controlled product test.
