To decide which is the better buy, compare current prices for the same country and date, then weigh screen size, camera flexibility, software and your priorities.

These figures come from manufacturer pages for different regions, and some specifications may vary by country or configuration. The stated brightness figures use potentially different test definitions, so they should not be read as a direct screen-brightness contest. The listed processors indicate different tiers, but specifications alone do not establish a measured speed difference. Likewise, camera resolution and battery capacity cannot substitute for comparable photo samples or controlled endurance tests.

How do the screen size and handling differ?
The Phone (2a)’s 6.7-inch panel is larger by diagonal measurement than the X300 FE’s 6.31-inch panel. That makes the Nothing the more obvious candidate if you prefer a bigger viewing area for reading or video; the smaller vivo is the option to consider if a compact-format phone is more appealing. Diagonal measurements alone cannot establish how comfortable either handset feels in your hand or how readable its display will be in your circumstances.
Which phone has the more flexible camera setup?
The key distinction is focal length, not simply megapixel count. The Phone (2a) pairs its main camera with an ultrawide. The X300 FE instead lists a main, an ultrawide camera and a dedicated telephoto camera, with OIS specified for its main and telephoto modules. That gives the vivo a listed telephoto option for distant subjects, while the Nothing’s named secondary camera is ultrawide.

vivo says the X300 FE is compatible with the ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2, sold separately. Its India launch announcement listed the accessory at ₹15,999. That launch figure is not a current retailer quote. Neither the additional camera nor the accessory proves better image quality; judging that requires comparable photos and testing.
What do the battery and charging specifications mean?
vivo lists a 6,500mAh typical battery and 90W FlashCharge for the X300 FE, compared with the Phone (2a)’s 5,000mAh battery and 45W charging. These are rated specifications, not measured battery-life or charge-time results. Real endurance depends on usage and conditions, and charging can vary with the charger, protocol and temperature.

Nothing’s support guidance says charging depends on temperature and protocol, recommends a PPS charger for optimal charging, and describes roughly one hour to full using a Nothing charger under its stated conditions. Treat that as conditional manufacturer guidance, not a guaranteed result for every charger or situation.

- Your local, current price makes it the better fit for your budget.
- An ultrawide secondary camera better suits your needs than a dedicated telephoto camera.
- Its listed update commitment and the configuration available in your country meet your requirements.
Consider the vivo X300 FE if
- You prefer a smaller display diagonal and compact-format positioning.
- A dedicated telephoto camera matters to you.
- You prioritize its higher listed battery capacity, charging rate or processor tier, while recognizing that these specifications do not establish real-world superiority.
- Its India-listed IP68/IP69 rating is relevant to you, and you understand the manufacturer’s test caveats; an IP rating does not make a phone waterproof.
Before buying either handset, verify the exact model and storage SKU sold in your country, network-band compatibility, whether a charger is included, and the local warranty. Check current regional software information as well: the versions and policies listed on manufacturer pages may vary by market and date. vivo states that X300 FE ROM storage is not expandable.
