HMD announced the Nokia 215 4G (2024), Nokia 225 4G (2024) and Nokia 235 4G on April 30, 2024. They are affordable 4G feature phones—not Android replacements—with physical keypads, long battery life, Bluetooth and limited online services that vary by market. The “2024” label matters: Nokia 215 4G and Nokia 225 4G models with the same names were also launched in 2020.
HMD described initial availability across Africa, India, the Middle East and selected Asia-Pacific markets. Announcement does not mean worldwide release, so check the local HMD store, retailer and carrier before buying.

The €59, €69 and €79 figures are reported European launch prices, not current worldwide prices. Taxes, promotions, stock and regional editions can change the amount.
What HMD actually released
HMD’s announcement groups the three phones as Nokia-branded 4G bar phones with long battery life, Bluetooth, basic entertainment and selected online services through Cloud Apps or Cloud Phone Service. The official announcement is at HMD’s April 30, 2024 press release.

These are feature phones rather than smartphones. They use physical keypads and a small, non-smartphone display, with a limited software environment. Do not assume Google Play, Instagram, full WhatsApp support, GPS navigation, banking apps or smartphone-style multitasking. Cloud services may provide items such as news, weather, video content, social features or games, but availability depends on the model and country.
Nokia 215 4G (2024): the minimalist choice
The Nokia 215 4G (2024) has no rear camera. That makes it the clearest choice for someone who wants a phone focused on calls, texts, battery life, Bluetooth audio, radio and simple games such as Snake, without the extra distraction or cost of a camera.
HMD lists Bluetooth, long battery life, Snake and Cloud Apps on its product page: Nokia 215 4G (2024). Cloud Apps or Cloud Phone Service access is not guaranteed in every market.

Nokia 225 4G (2024): a compact step up
The Nokia 225 4G (2024) adds a rear camera while retaining the compact physical-keypad format. It is the middle option for buyers who want occasional snapshots and Bluetooth but do not need the larger display associated with the 235.
HMD highlights Bluetooth, a rear camera, Snake, long battery life and its Cloud Apps portal on the Nokia 225 4G (2024) product page. FM radio and other entertainment features can depend on the local edition and listing.
Nokia 235 4G (2024): more screen, still a feature phone
The Nokia 235 4G (2024) is positioned as the most capable model in the trio. HMD’s announcement places it in the same 4G feature-phone family, while launch coverage from FoneArena describes a larger display and a 2-megapixel camera.

Those upgrades make text, menus and occasional media more comfortable, but they do not turn the 235 into an Android phone. Check the country-specific HMD page or datasheet for memory, supported bands, colors, charger and included services.
Do not confuse the 2024 phones with the 2020 Nokia 215 and 225
HMD announced earlier Nokia 215 4G and Nokia 225 4G models in October 2020. That announcement listed average global retail prices of €32 and €41 respectively, with availability beginning in selected markets from September 2020. What 4G means—and what it does not
4G allows these phones to use modern LTE networks for voice and limited data services, but it does not guarantee universal operation or smartphone-like internet performance. The keypad, feature-phone operating system, small display, processor and restricted app environment remain the limiting factors.
Carrier checklist
- Confirm the exact regional model and its LTE bands.
- Ask whether your carrier supports and certifies that model for VoLTE.
- Check whether 2G or 3G fallback is still available where you live.
- Verify SIM size, activation requirements and whether voice, SMS and data are enabled separately.
- For an imported phone, confirm that its firmware and bands match your network.
Do not assume a U.S. carrier will accept every imported version. The available sources do not establish blanket U.S. compatibility for all three models.

Cloud Apps is a limited, region-dependent service layer, not Google Play or a general-purpose app store. HMD’s launch material mentions services such as news, weather, YouTube Shorts, social features and games in selected markets, but it does not establish WhatsApp availability on every model.

Service restrictions can apply by country and model. HMD’s product-page notice states that Cloud Phone Service is not available on the Nokia 235 4G (2024) in Europe and China; review the local product page before relying on any online feature. The Nokia 225 page is available at hmd.com.
Availability and buying checks
Start with the relevant country page rather than a global price comparison. Official product references include the Nokia 215 4G (2024), Nokia 225 4G (2024) and the HMD Ireland store listing for the 225 at ie.shop.hmd.com.
- Check the country, stock status and tax-inclusive price.
- Match the exact model number to your carrier’s compatibility list.
- Confirm which Cloud Apps services are enabled locally.
- Check charger, battery and accessory details for that edition.
Which Nokia 4G feature phone should you choose?
Choose the Nokia 215 4G (2024) if simplicity comes first
Pick it for calls, texts, Bluetooth and long battery life with no rear camera. Its trade-off is the least capable hardware and no camera at all.
Choose the Nokia 225 4G (2024) for a compact camera phone
Pick it if you want a small keypad phone with a basic rear camera and Bluetooth. Its camera is for simple snapshots, and the software still cannot replace modern messaging or smartphone apps.

Pick it if a larger screen and the strongest camera specification here justify the higher launch price. It remains a feature phone, so the extra screen and camera do not add Android or iOS compatibility.
Bottom line
HMD’s 2024 Nokia 215 4G, 225 4G and 235 4G are affordable LTE feature phones for basic communication and reduced smartphone use. The decisive differences are camera and screen: camera-free 215, camera-equipped 225, and larger-screen, higher-resolution-camera 235. Verify the 2024 edition, local availability, LTE bands, VoLTE certification and Cloud Apps restrictions before purchase.
