Nocturne, a rhythm-driven RPG from Pracy Studios, launched on Steam on September 22, 2026. Steam’s October 7 listing snapshot showed 396 user reviews, with 99% positive. That is a strong early review response—not proof of sales, revenue, or player numbers, which the available sources do not establish.
What Nocturne is—and how far the Hi-Fi Rush comparison goes
Steam describes Nocturne as an Adventure, Indie, and RPG game built around skill-based rhythm combat. A Game Rant syndicated excerpt characterizes its battles as fought almost entirely to music. The “like Hi-Fi Rush” comparison is useful only as a broad pointer to music-centered action: the available sources do not establish that Nocturne shares Hi-Fi Rush’s combat details, story, or presentation.

Pracy Studios says the intended design was to combine role-playing and rhythm gameplay while preserving the rhythm core. In its official Steam launch announcement, the developer put it this way: “From the beginning, Nocturne was always meant to blend RPG and Rhythm.” The announcement also says combat agency was expanded after feedback on an earlier demo.
What the RPG and rhythm package includes
The Steam listing pairs rhythm battles with familiar RPG systems: leveling, stats, items, equipment, shops, exploration, bosses, and secrets. That mix may appeal to players who want more than a sequence of rhythm challenges, though the listing does not provide a like-for-like feature comparison with Hi-Fi Rush.

- Advanced 3D battle engine brings old-school turn-based combat to a new level
- Unique dark atmosphere and enthralling storyline as you try to navigate the fate of two worlds
- Negotiate with your enemies and work out a compromise instead of battling every time -- just like in real life
- The game choices you make on other side of the Vortex will determine the fate of both worlds - advance the stories of both in all-new ways
| Steam-listed feature | What it means for players |
|---|---|
| 100,000+ word story | A substantial narrative pitch; this is a publisher-provided figure on the Steam listing, not an independently verified word count. |
| 101 playable tracks | A large advertised music selection; the figure comes from Pracy Studios’ Steam listing. |
| 10+ hour campaign | The developer’s advertised campaign length, not a guaranteed playtime for every player. |
| Six difficulty options | Choices intended for newcomers as well as experienced rhythm-game players, according to the Steam listing. |
What “massive hit” means in the available evidence
Steam’s listing snapshot on October 7, 2026 recorded 396 user reviews and a 99% positive rating. Those figures indicate a strong positive response among reviewers at that moment, but both can change as more reviews arrive. They do not measure copies sold, revenue, or concurrent players.
The Game Rant excerpt also describes the rating as “Overwhelmingly Positive,” but provides no commercial or player-count data. Neither source establishes how many people own or play Nocturne, so “massive hit” should be read as a headline characterization of its early review reception, not a verified sales result.
