The documented scopes are profile, email, parties and offline_access. The article describes these safeguards:
- Every client must use PKCE with the S256 challenge method.
- Redirect URIs must match exactly, with an exception for loopback ports.
- Authorization codes can be used once.
- Refresh tokens rotate; reuse of a retired token revokes its token family.
- The implicit and password grants are not supported.

How does a watch party become a nixamp room?
The separation is between the film and the gathering around it. The release article says the film remains on bittorrented.com, while nixamp supplies the room identity, chat and playback-position synchronization. The room appears under the user’s own nixamp account.

The host writes playback position every 15 seconds, according to the article, and a late joiner is placed at the current playback point. The article reports a limit of 50 attendees per watch party; it does not describe that figure as an independently tested capacity result.

Join or host from the terminal
The nixamp CLI exposes these party commands, as listed in the release article:
party list— list available parties.party join— join a party.party host— host a party.party sync— synchronize playback.party end— end a party.
The article also says nixamp offers party functions in web, desktop and TV clients. An MCP stdio server exposes the same five party actions as the CLI. It does not provide further client-by-client feature comparisons.

How do nixamp concert tickets and event rooms work?
Events can represent talks, classes or concerts. For concert events, the release article says an artist can open doors, start the event, encore and end it, but cannot manage the guest list.
A ticket is described as a paid pass to one event room, not general access to an account or all events. Payment uses x402 and goes to the event’s own payTo address. The event ID is used to derive the signing secret, so a pass for one event date should not authorize a different event. For a ticketed room, the article says the server returns HTTP 402 with the price rather than 404.

The article says events are free when no CoinPay key is configured. It names c0ncerts.com as the first client: its /shows directory requests concert-kind events, and its artist flow signs in through nixamp. Availability and payment configuration can change, so these details should not be assumed to apply to every deployment.
Can nixamp play raw 4K MPEG-TS files?
The release article describes support for transport-stream files that may come from capture cards or receivers. Since the .ts extension can also denote TypeScript, the library walker checks for MPEG-TS sync bytes before treating a file as media.
