Nintendo’s Japan-only Nintendo Switch 2 Choose-Your-Game Bundle is scheduled to launch in Japan on November 12, 2026, for a suggested retail price of ¥63,980 including tax. It includes the Japanese-language Switch 2 system and a download code for one game chosen from three options. The console has a significant restriction for buyers outside Japan: its only system language is Japanese, and only Nintendo Accounts set to Japan can be linked.

Nintendo’s Japan announcement describes the games and their play styles, but does not provide a separate-price comparison for the console and each game. The ¥63,980 bundle price therefore should not be treated as a quantified saving against buying the items separately.

Important: this is a Japanese-language, Japan-only system
This bundle is not simply a Japanese-market version of a system with selectable languages. Nintendo states that Japanese is the only system language and that only Nintendo Accounts whose country/region is set to Japan can be linked to the console. Those restrictions matter especially if you live outside Japan or use a Nintendo Account registered to another region. Nintendo’s announcement does not establish that an overseas-region account can be linked, or that the system can be switched to another language.

How to redeem the game code
Nintendo says redemption takes place through Nintendo eShop and requires a Nintendo Account and an internet connection. The code is valid through March 31, 2027, and Nintendo’s product FAQ says the selected game cannot be changed after redemption.
- Choose one of the three eligible games before redeeming the code.
- Connect to the internet and use Nintendo eShop to redeem the download number printed on the paper insert, following the on-screen instructions.
- Download the selected game. Nintendo says the code expires March 31, 2027; its FAQ says no additional eligible titles are planned.
Because the choice cannot be swapped after redemption, confirm the intended game before submitting the code.

Who should consider this bundle?
It is most straightforward for buyers who want a Japanese-language Switch 2, can use a Japan-region Nintendo Account, and are happy to select one of the three games digitally. The bundle’s game choice spans racing, motion-based sports, and social simulation, but all three downloads are tied to the same Japanese-only console restrictions. For anyone who needs a non-Japanese system language or an account region other than Japan, Nintendo’s stated limitations make this bundle a poor fit.
