If you want a Switch 2 now, the Mario Kart World bundle is the clearest early deal: it combines the $499.99 console with a full game and three months of Nintendo Switch Online for $549.99 MSRP. The Switch 2 + Nintendo Switch Sports Resort bundle lowers the entry price to $529.99, but Nintendo says it will be available from October 22, 2026.
These are October 15, 2026 US prices. Nintendo’s savings are MSRP comparisons, not guarantees that every retailer is at its lowest historical price. Stock, preorder status and discounts can change before the expected Black Friday launch on November 27.

Best early Nintendo Switch 2 bundle deals
The standalone Switch 2 reference price is $499.99 at Nintendo; Tom’s Guide lists it as $499 in its October 14 price roundup. A bundle makes sense when you would buy the included game and Nintendo Switch Online membership anyway.
| Bundle | Price and stated saving | Included software and membership | Availability and terms |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World | $549.99 MSRP; Nintendo states $37.98 saved versus separate purchases | Mario Kart World game plus three-month Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership | Available while supplies last. Membership auto-renews unless canceled. |
| Nintendo Switch 2 + Nintendo Switch Sports Resort | $529.99 MSRP; Nintendo lists $27.98 saved | Full game download plus three-month Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership | Available October 22, 2026. Availability can vary by retailer. |
Nintendo describes the Mario Kart offer as “Save* $37.98 with the Nintendo Switch™ 2 + Mario Kart™ World Bundle and a 3-month Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership.” Its terms say the comparison uses manufacturer’s suggested retail prices when the system, game and membership are purchased separately; actual savings may vary and the offer is available while supplies last.
#1 Best Overall
- The next evolution of Nintendo Switch
- One system, three play modes: TV, Tabletop, and Handheld
- Larger, vivid, 7.9” LCD touch screen with support for HDR and up to 120 fps
- Dock that supports 4K when connected to a compatible TV*
- GameChat** lets you voice chat, share your game screen, and connect via video chat as you play
Which bundle should you buy?
- Choose Mario Kart World if you want the most substantial stated saving and would purchase that game. The extra $20 over the Sports Resort bundle buys a game with Nintendo’s higher $37.98 separate-purchase comparison.
- Choose Sports Resort if the lower $529.99 price matters more or you prefer that game. It is a download rather than a physical cartridge, and the bundle does not go on sale until October 22.
- Buy the console alone at about $499 only if you already own the games you want or prefer to choose a game later. The $50.00–$50.01 difference between the standalone system and either bundle is small compared with buying a new first-party game separately.
Because the membership is a three-month Individual term, check the Nintendo account payment settings after redeeming it. Auto-renewal continues unless you cancel it.

Check the format before paying
A standard physical cartridge can be inserted and played from the card, subject to any updates. A download is tied to the Nintendo account and uses console storage. A game-key card looks like a physical product but acts as a license key: the Switch 2 downloads the game before you can play, so verify your internet access, account region and free storage. Listings should state which format you are receiving; do not assume “physical” means the full game is on the card.

Storage advice
Switch 2 requires microSD Express cards for expandable storage; an ordinary microSD card from an original Switch is not an automatic substitute. The reported 512GB price is discounted but storage pricing fluctuates, so a 128GB card may be better value if you mostly buy cartridges or archive completed downloads. A sale label alone does not prove a historical low.

Generation-specific controller accessories
Original Switch Joy-Con charging stands and grips do not automatically fit the Switch 2 Joy-Con 2 controllers. Confirm “Switch 2” compatibility in the product specifications, especially for docks, cases and controller mounts. The $16 PowerA dock is useful only for original Joy-Con hardware.
Should you buy now or wait for Black Friday?
Buy in October when
- You need a console for a specific release or holiday gift and the desired bundle is in stock.
- You want Mario Kart World and the $549.99 bundle is available; Nintendo says supply is limited.
- A physical game discount is large enough to justify buying before release or before stock disappears, such as Persona 3 Reload’s 50% reduction, while accepting its game-key-card format.
Wait when
- You do not need a system immediately and are willing to risk sellouts or changed bundle contents.
- You are shopping for accessories, especially storage, where prices fluctuate and a larger discount may appear.
- You want to compare multiple retailers during the expected November 27 Black Friday event. GamesRadar bases that date on the previous year’s timing; Nintendo has not guaranteed a 2026 announcement.
Early deals can disappear, while November may bring more competing offers. Set a target price, check the exact format and generation, and compare the final delivered price rather than the advertised percentage.

Where US and UK shoppers are seeing deals
In the US, deal coverage includes Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Target and GameStop; Tom’s Guide also price-checks Amazon, Best Buy and Woot. UK coverage includes Amazon, Very, Currys and Argos. Prices, stock, preorder status and regional bundles differ, so a deal shown in one country is not evidence of availability in another.
