How to enter the Nintendo NEW YORK Holiday Magic Sweepstakes
The promotion opened at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time on October 15, 2026, and closes at 11:00 p.m. Pacific Time on November 2, 2026. It is available to adults age 18 or older who live in the contiguous United States or the District of Columbia. Residents of Alaska and Hawaii are excluded.

- Redeem 10 Platinum Points for one sweepstakes entry.

There is no purchase requirement. Because each entry consumes 10 Platinum Points, a participant who uses the maximum number of entries will redeem 100 points in total. The announcement does not state the odds of winning.

One winner and as many as three guests will receive a New York City trip scheduled for a three-day, two-night stay between December 3 and December 7, 2026. Nintendo lists the prize’s approximate retail value as $3,271, although the final value can vary.

The release does not provide a guaranteed event calendar, a specific hotel name or details such as baggage, meals, taxes or other travel costs. Those terms should be checked in the official sweepstakes rules before entering or making plans.
When Nintendo New York’s holiday activities take place
Nintendo says its retail locations will receive festive displays and décor in mid-November. Nintendo NEW YORK’s holiday events begin in early December, fitting the prize travel window. The company specifically says Mario and Luigi costume appearances will be part of the activities, but it has not published a complete schedule in the announcement.

The timing also overlaps with the 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Nintendo’s Mario balloon is scheduled to return on Thursday, November 26. NBC, Peacock and Telemundo coverage begins at 8:30 a.m. in all time zones. The parade date is before the sweepstakes trip window, so it is a separate opportunity to see the character’s holiday appearance rather than a stated part of the prize.

Nintendo is also expanding access to merchandise that had previously been exclusive to its New York and San Francisco stores. Hundreds of items are now offered nationwide through Nintendo.com and the Nintendo Store app, allowing fans who cannot visit either location to shop online.
