The Ninjutso Sora V3 is a strong wireless FPS mouse if you favor a claw grip and a medium, symmetrical shape with a rear-set hump. RTINGS found its tracking accurate and wireless click latency exceptionally low. Its 43.0 g tested weight, reworked shell structure and updated internals make it a meaningful refresh—but not an automatic upgrade over the lighter Sora V2. No Bluetooth, limited wheel features and a claw-oriented fit are the main reasons to look elsewhere.
What the Sora V3 is—and who it suits
The Sora V3 is a lightweight wireless gaming mouse and the successor to the Sora V2. In its review published September 18, 2026, RTINGS describes the V3 as retaining the Sora’s medium-sized symmetrical shape while reworking the internal structure to reduce body flex. That combination makes fit the first decision: this is not a shape designed to suit every grip equally.

Best fit: claw grip
RTINGS considers the shape particularly well suited to claw grip, including for average-sized hands. The rear-positioned hump gives the palm a different point of support than a centered-hump design. If you prefer a relaxed palm grip or want one mouse to accommodate several grip styles, the Sora V3 is a less certain choice.

Shape alternatives
In RTINGS’ comparison, the LAMZU MAYA X is larger and has a more centered hump, which accommodates a wider range of grips. The Scyrox V8 shares the Sora V3’s rear-hump, claw-oriented approach. RTINGS describes the Razer Viper V4 Pro as fitting a broader range of grip types and hand sizes, with somewhat stronger raw performance in its comparison. These are shape and review findings, not claims about current price or stock.

How it performs for gaming
RTINGS characterizes the Sora V3 as a superb FPS mouse. Its review reports exceptionally low wireless click latency, excellent sensor latency and accurate tracking across movement speeds and sensitivity settings. The included receiver supports the mouse’s maximum polling rate, up to 8000Hz.
Those are laboratory-review conclusions, not a promise that every player or setup will notice the same results. A high maximum polling rate is a capability rather than a requirement: whether it benefits you depends on your system, game and preferences. RTINGS also notes that the V3’s switch implementation does not deliver the same performance uplift as the wired Endgame Gear OP1 8k v2.

What changed from the Sora V2
The V3 keeps the Sora V2’s general shape but changes key internal components. RTINGS identifies an AIMNINJA 2 PRO 45K sensor and Ninjutso SPDT HyperSwitch mechanical main-button switches, replacing the V2’s Omron optical switches. The reworked internal structure is intended to reduce flex, and Ninjutso advertises substantially longer battery life than for the previous model. The available review material does not establish a battery-life figure to compare here.

The measurements point to a refresh, not a universal performance win. The V3 is 2.1 g heavier by the listed default weights, while RTINGS reports reduced body flex and slightly better wireless click latency. The V2 has the advantage in the cited sensor-latency and wired click-latency comparisons. Those results describe the mice RTINGS tested; they do not establish that every unit or connection will perform identically.

Features and limitations beyond gaming
- No Bluetooth or multi-device pairing: less convenient if you regularly switch between a gaming PC, laptop or tablet.
- Basic scroll wheel: it has neither tilt nor free-scroll, features that can help with wide spreadsheets or long documents.
- Two side buttons: enough for common FPS actions, but limiting if you need many easily accessible commands for an MMO or productivity workflow.
These omissions do not undermine its core FPS use, but they make the V3 less versatile as a single mouse for gaming and varied desk work.
Price and availability
Ninjutso’s catalog listed the Sora V3 at $119.99 and marked it sold out when accessed October 7, 2026. That is a dated catalog snapshot, not a current-price guarantee; it does not establish availability through other retailers or in every region. Check local stock and the price at checkout before deciding whether the V3’s upgrades justify the cost.

Should you buy the Ninjutso Sora V3?
Choose the Sora V3 if you want a light wireless FPS mouse, prefer a claw grip and value low wireless click latency, accurate tracking and a shell structure designed to reduce flex. Consider the Sora V2 if its lower tested weight or the latency advantages found in RTINGS’ comparison matter more to you. If you need broader grip accommodation, Bluetooth, multi-device switching or a more capable wheel, the V3’s shape and feature set are poor matches.
