Has Ninja Theory shut down?
Not according to Xbox’s September 22 announcement. Its wording was consultation on a proposed closure, with other options still being explored. What does this mean for Senua?
Senua’s future is unsettled in the available reporting, not confirmed canceled. VGC reported that the game was announced in June 2026 with a 2027 release plan, but said its fate had not been officially confirmed. Ninja Theory gameplay programmer Katrin Mair told VGC that it was “incredibly sad knowing that we won’t get to finish what we were working on.” That comment describes an employee’s experience; it does not by itself confirm the game’s cancellation.
