1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThe Ninja Luxe Café Premier Series ES601 is a single countertop machine that covers espresso, drip-style coffee, and cold drinks, with a built-in conical burr grinder and a guided workflow that walks you through each step. It suits someone who wants one machine instead of a separate espresso maker, grinder, and coffee brewer, and who is willing to accept a clean-out routine when switching between bean types. If you alternate between distinct beans every day, the trade-offs below matter more than the feature list.
This article draws on the manufacturer’s product page and on Tom’s Guide’s hands-on review. We did not run our own tests of the ES601. Every test impression below belongs to Tom’s Guide’s reviewer and is labeled as such.

What the ES601 is
SharkNinja markets the ES601 as a 3-in-1 espresso, coffee, and cold-brew system. Its listed features are Barista Assist Technology, a conical burr grinder with 25 grind settings, weight-based dosing from a built-in scale, and hands-free frothing. The manufacturer’s product description puts the guidance feature this way: “Barista Assist Technology guides you to the perfect cup from grind size recommendations to automated brew adjustments, while the Dual Froth System effortlessly creates perfectly textured microfoam hands-free.” That is a manufacturer claim, not an independent test result. The sections that follow check it against the reviewer’s experience.

- Voltage and power: 120 V, 1,650 W

- Dimensions: 15.75 × 15.24 × 20.51 inches (manufacturer figures; retailer listings may present dimensions differently)
- Grinder: conical burr, 25 settings

- Warranty: one-year limited warranty, as listed by the manufacturer
Because the voltage is 120 V, this is a North American-style specification. If you buy from a regional seller or an import, confirm the voltage, plug type, and warranty terms for that SKU before ordering. Measure your counter, including the height clearance under cabinets, before you commit: the 20.51-inch height is the figure most likely to matter in a kitchen with upper cabinets.
What comes in the box
The manufacturer’s included-items list names:
- A portafilter with a funnel
- A milk jug
- A double basket and a Luxe basket
- An assisted tamper and a funnel
- A cleaning brush and a cleaning disc
- Descaling powder
- A hard-water testing kit
The product page separately lists replacement parts, including descaling tablets, a cleaning kit, a single basket, a portafilter, and drip-tray parts. Those are listed as available parts, not as items in every box. Before you buy a replacement basket or descaler, check the exact model compatibility on the destination listing.
How the guided espresso workflow works
Tom’s Guide’s reviewer describes the espresso process as a sequence the machine prompts you through. The steps, as the reviewer described them in the Tom’s Guide hands-on review, are:

- Choose the basket and the drink type on the machine’s interface.
- Place the funnel-equipped portafilter under the grinder.
- Follow the grind setting the machine recommends.
- Grind the beans, then tamp them with the assisted tamper.
- Brew the shot.
The reviewer found the process intuitive and reported favorable espresso and frothing results over several weeks of use. Those are one reviewer’s impressions, not measured results.
Timing observed in the review
In the reviewer’s test, grinding took roughly 20 seconds, and brewing a double shot took about one minute. These are the reviewer’s own timings on their own setup. They are useful as a rough expectation, not as a guaranteed performance figure, and your times will depend on the beans, the grind setting, and how the machine is set up.
Drink range: espresso, drip-style coffee, and cold drinks
Espresso
Espresso is the machine’s guided mode. It uses a fine grind, the funnel-equipped portafilter, and tamping, as described above.

- COFFEE MAKER WITH GRINDER: A built-in conical burr grinder features 25 settings for precise, versatile grinding based on your specific drink. Brew your classic morning cup of coffee or create a summer afternoon cold brew with the exact grind and dosage you need.

Drip-style coffee
For regular coffee, the grind is coarser and the process does not require tamping, according to the review. This is the part of the workflow that makes the machine usable as a daily coffee maker rather than only as an espresso machine. It is still a grind-and-brew process inside an espresso-focused machine, so if you want the convenience of a dedicated drip brewer with a carafe, compare the two on capacity and speed before you decide.

Cold brew and cold drinks
The reviewer notes a separate cold-press espresso mode and cold foam. The review excerpt does not describe a steep-and-filter cold brew process of the kind a dedicated cold brew maker uses. If cold brew is the drink you care most about, check the manual and the official product page to confirm which mode produces it and how long it takes before you buy.
Frothing
The ES601 lists hands-free frothing through its Dual Froth System, and the reviewer reported favorable frothing results. Frothing on this machine uses the milk jug included in the box. If you drink a lot of milk-based drinks, that jug and the frothing settings are the features to test in person, because how the foam tastes and how much you have to watch the process depends on your milk and your preferences.

Bean switching: the main workflow trade-off
The reviewer’s most important caveat is about changing beans. Moving from espresso beans to coffee beans requires a short sequence:
- Empty the bean hopper.
- Run the grinder to clear the beans that remain in it.
- Recalibrate the grinder for the new beans.
Because the hopper and grinder are shared, a switch is not a quick swap. If you buy one bean for espresso and another for drip coffee and switch them daily, this routine will become a chore. If you use one versatile bean for every drink, you will rarely run into it.
Price and warranty
A Tom’s Guide deal article published October 1, 2026 reported the ES601 at $499 on Amazon, with a stated $100 reduction from a $599 price. That is a dated report, not a current quote or a guaranteed lowest price. Promotions can end and prices can change, so check the live listing, the seller, the model, the voltage, delivery, and return terms before you buy. The Tom’s Guide deal article is the source of that price report.

Alternatives to compare
Tom’s Guide compares the ES601 with two Philips machines that differ in how much control they give you. The table below shows what the review states. Current prices and specifications for the Philips models are not covered in the review and are marked accordingly.
| Machine | Position in Tom’s Guide’s review | Current price | Current specifications |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ninja Luxe Café Premier ES601 | Guided workflow with a built-in grinder, weight-based dosing, and a guided espresso process | $499 on Amazon, reported October 1, 2026 | See the Specifications section above |
| Philips Barista Brew | More manual; gives more control over the brewing process | Not stated in the review | Not stated in the review |
| Philips 3200 LatteGo | Fully automatic | Not stated in the review | Not stated in the review |
For a head-to-head decision, compare the four factors that matter most for this type of machine: drink range, how much you control versus how much the machine decides, grinder and bean-switching workflow, and milk method. Check current prices and specifications for the Philips models directly, because this article does not establish them.
Should you buy the ES601?
The ES601 makes sense if you want one machine for espresso, drip-style coffee, and cold drinks, you value guided operation over manual control, and you use one bean type most of the time. It is a weaker fit if you switch between distinct beans often, if you want full manual control over every variable, or if your main need is a dedicated cold brew maker or a large-capacity drip brewer.
- Good fit: a household that wants one machine, uses one main bean, and is comfortable with guided settings.
- Poor fit: a daily bean switcher, a manual-control enthusiast, or someone who mainly needs a carafe-sized brewer or a dedicated cold brew system.
Before you buy, confirm the regional voltage and warranty for your SKU, check the live price, and measure your counter clearance against the listed height.
