“CrushBOSS” is a product family, not a single appliance. Two configurations appear in SharkNinja’s official listings, and they differ on the one feature a chopping-averse buyer cares about most.

LB451BK1: the 4-in-1 with the dicing kit
SharkNinja’s listing titled “Ninja CrushBOSS 4-in-1 Blender, Tumbler, Food Processor & Dicing” describes four functions: full-size blending, food processing, automatic dicing, and personal blending. This is the only configuration here that lists the automatic dicing kit, so it is the one to consider if avoiding knife work is the goal.
LB401: the 3-in-1 without a listed dicing kit
The LB401, listed as “Ninja CrushBOSS 3-in-1 Blender, Tumbler & Food Processor,” combines a blender, a personal tumbler, and a food processor. Its official listing does not include the separate dicing kit. The food processor can still handle some prep work, but you will still be doing more of the cutting yourself.

How the vegetable prep works
On the 4-in-1, vegetable prep comes from the food processor and the dicing kit, not from the blender pitcher. SharkNinja says the processor handles chopping, slicing, pureeing, and precision dicing, and that the multi-blade disc covers slicing, shredding, and crinkle cutting. The page also quotes a line you may see repeated: “The XL feed chute can handle whole ingredients & smart programs deliver consistent results.” That is marketing copy from the manufacturer, not an independent finding.

The dicing-time claim is inconsistent
The same SharkNinja listing gives two different times for dicing. One section says “Dice 3 potatoes in just 30 seconds with fast, even automatic dicing.” A later section says “Dice 3 potatoes in 15 seconds.” Both are manufacturer claims, and neither comes with a stated test method, so do not rely on either figure as a measured specification. If the time matters to your purchase, ask SharkNinja to clarify which applies.

What hands-on testing has shown so far
TechRadar published a hands-on review dated August 29, 2026. The reviewer made a smoothie from frozen fruit and juice using the SmoothSense function and reported a good result. A frozen-yogurt test, made from frozen fruit and yogurt, stayed chunky. The reviewer said added liquid, scraping down the sides, or a second blend would likely have improved it. This is one reviewer’s experience with one set of ingredients, not a controlled comparison.
A Tom’s Guide review of the CrushBOSS line also appeared in early October 2026. We could not confirm its test findings from the material available, so this article does not rely on it.

Trade-offs to weigh before you buy
- Many parts. TechRadar’s reviewer described the number of components as potentially intimidating for a small kitchen.
- Storage and cleanup. The same reviewer flagged the storage space and washing the multiple vessels and attachments require.
- Hand prep still happens. Some ingredients, especially those that need precise shapes or thin slices beyond what the attachments produce, may still require a knife. Test your own usual vegetables before deciding.
