What the original Ninja CRISPi is
SharkNinja describes the original CRISPi as a removable PowerPod that sits over CleanCrisp glass containers. The company lists four cooking functions—Air Fry, Max Crisp, Bake, and Recrisp—and rates the system at 1,500 watts. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent performance measurements. Food Network reviewer Taylor Murray says she tested Air Fry, Max Crisp, Bake, and Recrisp, cooking chicken breast, zucchini, and frozen fries. She reported good browning and crispness in those tests. Those observations belong to Murray’s review and should not be read as a guarantee for every recipe, quantity, or CRISPi bundle. Capacity depends on the bundle
SharkNinja’s product listing names CleanCrisp containers in 6-cup, 2.5-quart, and 4-quart sizes, while the contents included with a particular purchase vary by bundle. Storage lids are listed as accessories. Check the exact model number and box contents for the specific listing you plan to buy rather than assuming all CRISPi kits include the same containers. If buying a separate container or lid, verify compatibility with your CRISPi version against the model-specific details in SharkNinja’s product and accessory listing.
CRISPi and CRISPi PRO are different appliances
The original CRISPi is the portable PowerPod-and-glass-container system described above. SharkNinja’s October 15, 2025 announcement describes CRISPi PRO as a separate countertop model with 6-quart container capability, six functions, and precision digital temperature controls. What a useful kitchen test should establish
A meaningful review of a specific CRISPi kit should identify its model number and bundle, then report food type and quantity, whether ingredients were fresh or frozen, the mode and settings used, elapsed cooking time, any shaking or turning, and how doneness was checked. It should also assess whether the glass makes food easy to inspect, how cleanup goes, and whether the container-and-lid workflow is genuinely useful. Results from another reviewer cannot substitute for those firsthand observations.
