That control concerns image quality; the available guidance does not say it increases the screenshot’s pixel dimensions. If the setting does not explain the problem, Nimbus suggests trying a new Chrome profile.
Check Nimbus’s screenshot-quality setting
- Open Nimbus Screenshot’s settings and check whether screenshot quality was changed. Nimbus lists this as its first troubleshooting step for blurry or inferior-quality screenshots: Nimbus’s blurry-screenshot guidance.
- If the selected image format is JPG, inspect the JPG quality control. Nimbus documents that screenshot quality can be selected for JPG in its settings guide. The guide does not specify a recommended value, default, or numeric range, so use the choices displayed in your version rather than assuming a particular percentage.
- Save a fresh screenshot and compare it with the original. This helps establish whether changing the setting affects the visible result; do not assume it changed the image’s dimensions.
Resolution and image quality are different
Resolution refers to the image’s pixel dimensions, such as its width and height. JPG quality concerns how the image is encoded and compressed. Nimbus’s documented JPG quality control does not establish that changing quality increases capture resolution or changes those dimensions.

If you need to determine whether a file is actually low-resolution, inspect the saved image’s pixel dimensions in your image viewer or operating system’s file details. Compare those dimensions with the size you need. The Nimbus guidance cited here does not document a resolution selector or explain how to increase the capture’s pixel dimensions.
If the setting does not help, try a new Chrome profile
Nimbus’s troubleshooting guidance suggests creating a new Chrome profile if checking screenshot quality does not resolve the issue. It says the existing profile may have been compromised. Treat this as a diagnostic suggestion, not a guaranteed fix: the cited guidance does not establish that profile problems cause every blurry screenshot.

Nimbus describes support for whole-page captures and capture-and-annotation workflows on its product overview, but that overview does not document a resolution adjustment.
