#1 Best Overall
Standalone performance: income increased, but the loss continued
Total income moved from ₹40.49 crore to ₹42.14 crore
Nimbus Projects’ standalone total income increased from ₹40.49 crore in FY2025 to ₹42.14 crore in FY2026, an increase of ₹1.65 crore. The FY2025-26 total was composed of ₹1.47 crore in revenue from operations and ₹40.68 crore in other income. That mix matters: most of the reported standalone income came from the other-income line rather than operating revenue.
Standalone PAT remained negative
Standalone PAT was a ₹12.13 crore loss in FY2025-26, compared with a ₹12.75 crore loss in FY2025. The loss therefore narrowed by ₹0.62 crore, but the company still did not produce a standalone profit. The modest improvement in the loss should not be read as a return to profitability.

Screener’s FY2026 summary puts consolidated sales at about ₹229 crore and the consolidated net result at an approximately ₹88 crore loss. The same series shows an approximately ₹64 crore consolidated net profit in FY2025. On that basis, the year-on-year movement was a swing of roughly ₹152 crore from profit to loss, even though the group’s sales scale was substantially higher than the standalone business.

The directors’ report totals and the market-data summary use slightly different labels and rounding. Revenue from operations of ₹228.7562 crore corresponds closely to the approximately ₹229 crore sales figure; total revenue is higher because it also includes other revenues.
Why standalone and consolidated results look so different
Standalone accounts
Standalone statements represent Nimbus Projects Limited as an individual legal entity. They show only ₹42.14 crore of total income for FY2025-26, including ₹1.47 crore from operations and ₹40.68 crore of other income.
Rank #4
Consolidated accounts
Consolidated statements combine the parent with the subsidiaries and the associated or jointly controlled interests covered by the group reporting perimeter. That is why consolidated revenue from operations reached ₹228.7562 crore and total revenue reached ₹241.6406 crore—far above the standalone total.

For assessing the economic performance of the overall group, consolidated numbers are generally the more relevant starting point. For judging the parent company’s own income and tax result, the standalone statement is the appropriate measure. Neither should replace the other.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What explains the profit-to-loss swing?
The published tables establish the reversal but do not identify a sufficiently clear, named management explanation for it. They show that consolidated expenses of ₹291.2709 crore were materially above consolidated total revenue of ₹241.6406 crore, while the market-data series records an approximately ₹88 crore net loss. However, the cited material does not assign the loss to one confirmed cause.
Possible analytical areas include project or operating costs, investment results, financing charges, exceptional items, tax effects, or changes arising from consolidation. Those are investigation paths, not stated explanations. A reader should not present any one of them as management’s confirmed reason without a specific company filing or commentary that says so.
Quick Recap
How to read the yearly earnings correctly
- Identify the scope. Check whether a figure is labelled standalone or consolidated before comparing it with another year or source.
- Separate operating revenue from other income. In the standalone FY2025-26 statement, ₹1.47 crore came from operations while ₹40.68 crore was classified as other income.
- Use total revenue for the consolidated cost comparison. Consolidated revenue was ₹241.6406 crore after adding other revenues to revenue from operations.
- Check expenses and the bottom line together. Higher sales did not prevent a consolidated loss because expenses were ₹291.2709 crore and the reported net result was approximately negative ₹88 crore.
- Confirm the latest filing. Annual reports can be amended or supplemented. Investors should check the newest BSE or NSE filing before relying on these figures for a current decision.
