There is no single service that carries every NFL game. The right choice depends on your ZIP code, whether you need local or out-of-market games, and which weekly window you follow. Local Sunday afternoon games come from your market’s CBS or FOX affiliate; Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football and Thursday Night Football have separate national carriers; and NFL Sunday Ticket covers only out-of-market Sunday afternoon games. Use the NFL’s schedule tool with your ZIP code and the exact team, week or matchup before you subscribe.
Why NFL streaming is split across several services
NFL rights are divided among local broadcast stations, national networks and streaming platforms. A service can be excellent for one game window and useless for another. For example, Sunday Ticket is designed for regular-season Sunday afternoon games that are outside your local market, but it does not replace the service carrying Sunday Night Football or Monday Night Football.

Start with three questions:
- Where are you watching? Local rights are assigned by market, so the same team can be available on a broadcast channel in one ZIP code and unavailable there in another.
- Which games matter? A fan of one local team has a different need from a fan who follows an out-of-market team or wants every primetime matchup.
- What device will you use? Some options are built for television viewing, while NFL+’s live-game access is primarily mobile and should not be treated as unrestricted television streaming.
The NFL schedule tool is the most reliable starting point because it can personalize listings by ZIP code. Check the specific week immediately before paying: flexed games, special events and digital-only or international games can change the service assignment.

Local Sunday afternoon games: CBS, FOX and NBC
Paramount+ for local CBS
Paramount+ carries live local CBS Sunday afternoon games for viewers in the relevant market. “Local” means the game is assigned to your CBS affiliate, not that the service provides every CBS game nationwide. Check the NFL schedule tool and your local listings for the exact team and week.

- Dominate the league in EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26.
- Years of NFL game data powers next-level coaching, QB authenticity, and explosive gameplay.
- Every game is a new challenge on your path to becoming an NFL legend.
FOX One for local FOX
YouTube’s 2026 guidance lists FOX One for local in-market FOX games. It follows the same market rule: the service is useful when FOX is carrying the game in your area, but it is not a substitute for an out-of-market package.
Peacock and local NBC
Peacock streams Sunday Night Football for viewers who do not receive NBC through a television provider, and it can carry local NBC programming where available. Sunday Night Football is a national window, so it is separate from the Sunday afternoon CBS and FOX assignments.
Using an antenna
An HDTV antenna can receive local over-the-air broadcasts when your address has adequate signal strength. It may deliver a local CBS, FOX or NBC game without another monthly streaming subscription. Reception varies by building, terrain and transmitter distance, and the antenna does not provide out-of-market or streaming-exclusive games. Check reception at your address before buying equipment.
Out-of-market Sunday games: how Sunday Ticket actually works
NFL Sunday Ticket is for out-of-market Sunday afternoon games aired on CBS and FOX during the regular season. “Out of market” means the game is not being shown on the local channels available to you. This is the option for a viewer who lives outside the broadcast area of a preferred team and wants that team’s Sunday afternoon games.
You can add Sunday Ticket to a YouTube TV plan or purchase it as a standalone Primetime Channel on YouTube. The standalone version supplies the out-of-market Sunday afternoon package; it does not turn YouTube into an all-games service.

Before subscribing, identify whether each desired matchup is a Sunday afternoon CBS/FOX game. If it is a local, primetime, postseason, digital-only or international game, Sunday Ticket is not the right answer for that matchup.
YouTube TV versus standalone Sunday Ticket
YouTube TV’s main or Sports plan is a live-TV bundle that includes local and national NFL broadcasts on CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN and NFL Network where those channels are available. It is designed for viewers who want the channels carrying local games and national windows in one television package.

National game windows and schedule-specific exclusives
| Game window | Primary service or network | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Sunday Night Football | NBC or Peacock | Whether NBC is included through your provider or Peacock is needed for the listed game |
| Monday Night Football | ESPN and ABC | The specific broadcast, your plan and any local ABC availability |
| Thursday Night Football | Prime Video | The published Thursday schedule and any local broadcast rule for that game |
| Specified 2026 games | Netflix and other services named on the schedule | The exact matchup and date, because these are schedule-specific rather than a full-season package |
National assignments can change when games are flexed or when the league schedules special events. Confirm the date and service in the live NFL schedule rather than assuming that every game in a team’s season uses the same platform.

NFL+: useful for mobile fans, not a cable replacement
NFL+ is chiefly a mobile and league-content subscription. NFL.com describes live local and primetime mobile games, NFL RedZone, NFL Network, live game audio, replays and on-demand programming across two tiers. NFL+ Premium adds features beyond the base tier.
The key limitation is device scope. The described live-game access is for mobile viewing; it should not be interpreted as unrestricted television streaming of every game. If your main goal is watching on a television, compare the local network, live-TV bundle or game-specific service instead. If you watch on a phone or tablet and value replays, audio and league programming, NFL+ can fill a different need.
How to choose without buying the wrong service
- Write down the games you actually want. Include team, date and kickoff window. “Every game” is too vague because the rights are split.
- Enter your ZIP code in the NFL schedule tool. Record which Sunday afternoon games are marked local and which are outside your market.
- Classify each game. Label it local CBS, local FOX, Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, Thursday Night Football, out-of-market Sunday afternoon, postseason or schedule-specific.
- Check what you already receive. Your antenna, cable package or live-TV subscription may already provide CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, ABC or NFL Network.
- Add only the missing window. Use Paramount+ for an eligible local CBS game, FOX One for an eligible local FOX game, Peacock for Sunday Night Football, Prime Video for Thursday Night Football, ESPN/ABC for Monday Night Football, or Sunday Ticket for out-of-market Sunday afternoon games.
- Confirm the device before paying. Make sure the service’s app or channel works on the television, streaming device or mobile hardware you plan to use. For NFL+, verify that the desired feature is supported on your intended device.
- Review the checkout terms. Current prices, promotional periods, renewal rates and local channel availability vary. Verify the full-season cost and cancellation terms directly with each provider.
Practical combinations for common viewers
I only want my local team on Sunday afternoon
Use the ZIP-code schedule to see whether the game is on CBS or FOX. Paramount+ is the local CBS option identified in the current guidance; FOX One is listed for local FOX games. An antenna may provide the same local broadcast if reception is good. Sunday Ticket is unnecessary when the game is already local.
I live outside my team’s market
For regular-season Sunday afternoon CBS/FOX games, look at Sunday Ticket on YouTube. Add a separate source for Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football or Thursday Night Football because those national windows are excluded from Sunday Ticket.
I want a broad television package
YouTube TV’s main or Sports plan is the starting point when you need local and national channels together. Check your ZIP code to confirm the local CBS, FOX, NBC and ABC affiliates, then decide whether the remaining out-of-market Sunday afternoon games justify Sunday Ticket.

I mostly watch primetime
Map each window separately: Peacock or NBC for Sunday Night Football, ESPN/ABC for Monday Night Football and Prime Video for Thursday Night Football. Netflix may carry specific 2026 games. This approach can cost less than buying an out-of-market package you will not use, but verify the full schedule first.
I watch on my phone
NFL+ is the most directly relevant option for mobile local and primetime games, replays, audio and league content. Check the tier and device terms; do not assume that mobile rights provide the same television access as a live-TV service.
Costs, eligibility and what is still variable
Comparable current prices and promotions are not fixed across these services. They can vary by plan, season, market, billing term and promotional status. A price seen on one date should not be treated as a full-season cost for every viewer. Check each provider’s current checkout page and compare the recurring price after any introductory offer ends.
Location eligibility is equally important. Local CBS, FOX and NBC access depends on your market; Sunday Ticket’s definition of out-of-market depends on where you watch; and an antenna depends on reception at your address. The NFL schedule tool and the provider’s ZIP-code check are more reliable than a generic national channel list.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsCommon mistakes and fixes
- “Sunday Ticket includes every NFL game.” It does not. It excludes local games, national broadcasts, postseason games and some digital-only or international games. Reclassify the missing matchup before adding another service.
- “My team is not on Sunday Ticket.” If the game is being shown on your local CBS or FOX station, it is local rather than out-of-market. Check the local listing first.
- “I bought a primetime service for Sunday afternoon.” Peacock, Prime Video and ESPN solve specific national windows. They are not interchangeable with local CBS/FOX coverage or Sunday Ticket.
- “The app works on my phone but not my television.” Confirm supported devices before purchase and use a live-TV or connected-device option when television viewing is the priority.
- “An antenna did not show the game.” Check signal reception and whether the game is assigned to your local station. An antenna cannot receive out-of-market or streaming-exclusive games.
- “The advertised channel is missing.” Recheck your ZIP code, local affiliate and current plan. Channel availability can differ by market and change when a game is flexed.
A simple decision rule
Choose the service that matches the game classification, not the one with the broadest-sounding marketing. Local Sunday afternoon CBS means Paramount+ or a local broadcast source; local FOX means FOX One or a local broadcast source; out-of-market Sunday afternoon CBS/FOX means Sunday Ticket; Sunday Night Football means NBC or Peacock; Monday Night Football means ESPN/ABC; Thursday Night Football means Prime Video; and mobile-focused viewing points to NFL+. For 2026 schedule-specific games, follow the exact service named beside the matchup. Confirm every choice with the NFL’s ZIP-code schedule tool before committing to a season-long plan.
