Newegg’s retrieved Hasee X5 listing showed a price of $549.99 for a configuration with an Intel Core i7-13620H, 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. That verifies the core specifications, but not a stable $350 saving: a separate Newegg listing showed a different price and reference price. Nor does available evidence establish that the X5 is twice as fast as Apple’s $699 MacBook Neo. Apple’s published performance figures use a different PC comparison system and specific workloads.
What the Newegg Hasee X5 listing includes
The main Newegg listing describes the Hasee X5 as a 15.6-inch laptop with an Intel Core i7-13620H processor, 16GB of LPDDR5 memory and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. The processor is listed with 10 cores—six performance and four efficiency—and 14 threads, with a maximum frequency of 4.9GHz. Graphics are integrated Intel UHD Graphics, rather than a dedicated gaming GPU.

The listing also specifies a 15.6-inch, 1920×1080 IPS display at 60Hz, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, Windows 11, a 62.7Wh battery and a weight of 3.86 pounds. Newegg’s page contains inconsistencies in some display and port details, so confirm the exact SKU’s specifications before relying on those secondary details.

Does the deal really save $350?
The price snapshots do not support one consistent savings figure. The main Newegg listing showed $549.99 against a displayed comparison price of $659.98, a stated difference of $109.99. A separate listing showed $539.99 against $899.99, displaying a $360 difference. Those are separate listing snapshots, not proof of a stable $350 discount. Is the Hasee X5 twice as fast as the MacBook Neo?
There is no substantiated direct benchmark showing the Hasee X5 is twice as fast as the MacBook Neo. Apple’s March 2026 announcement reports that Neo was “up to 50 percent faster for everyday tasks like web browsing” and “up to 3x faster” for on-device AI workloads than a bestselling PC with the latest shipping Intel Core Ultra 5. Apple says its tests used preproduction Neo systems with an A18 Pro, 6-core CPU, 5-core GPU, 8GB unified memory and 256GB SSD, compared with production Intel Core Ultra 5-based PCs with Intel Graphics, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD. Those vendor-reported, workload-specific results do not compare Neo with the Hasee X5. See Apple’s MacBook Neo announcement.

The X5 listing’s phrase “Beat Intel Core 7 processor 240H” is a seller claim, not an independently verified benchmark. A fair speed comparison would require both laptops to run the same benchmark and workload under comparable conditions.

The X5 listing offers more stated memory and SSD capacity than the 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD in the systems Apple describes in its performance test. That is a capacity comparison, not proof of better performance or value: the products use different processors and operating systems, and the cited Apple test is not an X5-versus-Neo test. Choose based on the software you need, the exact current price, and comparable independent testing for your intended workload.
