October 2026 has a mix of new VR games, a full release, a PlayStation VR2 port and downloadable content across Meta Quest, PC VR and PS VR2. The dates below are drawn from UploadVR’s September 30 calendar; platform support is title-specific, and two PS VR2 dates need a closer look.
Dates and storefront listings can change. This is a roundup of notable releases, not a complete inventory of every VR game arriving this month.

October 2
VMX — Quest
A gesture-controlled multiplayer skatepark game with BMX bikes, scooters and mountain bikes. It previously launched in PC VR Early Access on March 26. UploadVR’s October calendar lists the Quest release for October 2.

Pedal Rebel VR — Quest and PC VR
This cyberpunk racing game turns an exercise bike into an in-game motorcycle and includes fitness tracking and game statistics. The October 5 listing covers Quest and PC VR; check the store page for device compatibility before buying.

October 8
Walkabout Mini Golf: Escape From Planet Xylodon — DLC
The new course adds an alien-world setting, normal and hard variants, 18 collectible golf balls and a themed putter scavenger hunt. UploadVR lists the add-on for PC VR, PS VR2, Quest, Pico and Samsung Galaxy XR. This is course DLC, not a separate full game.
Into the Radius 2 — PS VR2 port; date disputed
UploadVR lists October 8 for the PS VR2 version and describes native 90 fps, eye-tracked dynamic foveated rendering, headset haptics and adaptive triggers. The PlayStation Blog port announcement had instead said September 24, while Mixed News reported that Sony’s store listing showed October 8. Treat October 8 as a reported date, not a settled one, and check the current Mixed News date comparison and PlayStation Store listing before purchase. The game was already available on PC VR and Quest. Co-op is not planned for launch; the calendar says it is planned as a free Q4 2026 update.

Spymaster 1.0 — Quest and PC VR

Bad Inmate — Quest and PS VR2; PS Store date unresolved
A physics-driven prison escape game about finding objects and turning them into tools. VR.org describes October 15 as confirmed based on the maker’s announcement and says the Meta Horizon Store lists October 15 at 10 AM PDT. Mixed News also reports the developer’s August 31 announcement. However, the PlayStation Store still showed the date as to be determined in those checks, so the PS VR2 date is not equally confirmed by both storefronts. A PC VR version is planned, but the roundup gives no date. See the VR.org release tracker and Mixed News report for the discrepancy.

Terry’s Terraforming — Quest 3
A space adventure about transforming planets to support alien life. UploadVR describes the story as approximately six hours long.
October 27
Operation Together VR — PC VR
A one-to-four-player tactical military simulation. The PC VR listing gives October 27, but the Quest store listing uses the broader “Fall 2026” window; a same-day Quest release is not confirmed.

Dark Trip — Steam, with VR support
This hybrid escape-room game follows a Quest Early Access release in 2025 and sends players through an abandoned laboratory and hallucinatory sequences. Steam labels it “VR Supported,” not “VR Only”: it can be played flat-screen as well as in VR. That distinction matters if you are filtering Steam listings for a headset-only game. How to read the platform and date listings
- Quest, PC VR and PS VR2 are separate platforms. A release on one does not establish availability on another. Confirm the exact headset or store edition on the title’s current page.
- Release types differ. October’s listings include standalone games, DLC, a full 1.0 release, a port and a flat-screen/VR hybrid.
- A season or month is not a launch day. Operation Together VR’s Quest window is “Fall 2026,” while its PC VR listing gives October 27. Shil’s Steam version and Bad Inmate’s PC VR version have no date in the roundup.
- Steam’s VR label is meaningful. “VR Supported” does not mean “VR Only”; Dark Trip supports both flat-screen and VR play.
- Calendar coverage is not exhaustive. Other calendars mention The 31st Student and Scared by Squares for SteamVR, but their dates and platform details should be checked against current listings rather than treated as confirmed here.
For Quest games, the calendar alone does not establish which headset generations each title supports. If you need hardware, verify compatibility and current regional availability before choosing a headset; the dynamic Quest Store DB upcoming-app list is another place to check current listings.
