The vivo X500 FE is a reported phone, not an announced one. On 8 October 2026, Notebookcheck reported that the expected successor to the X300 FE has appeared in several certification databases. That points to pre-launch preparation, but no official vivo announcement names the X500 FE, and no release date, country list, price or full specification sheet has been published. Treat “global release” as an inference from certification listings, not as a confirmed launch plan.
What vivo has officially confirmed
vivo’s official pages cover the wider X500 line, not the FE. The China launch on 21 September 2026 introduced three models in Shanghai: the X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max. vivo’s China newsroom gives opening-sale dates and prices for those three models and does not list an FE.

The European schedule comes from vivo’s Official Store event page. It lists the X500 Series event, EU launch and pre-orders for 27 October 2026 at 16:00 CET, and sales beginning 5 November 2026. The page does not say whether an FE is part of that release, so those dates should not be applied to the FE.

What the certification listings show
Notebookcheck’s 8 October 2026 report is the only source reviewed that reports the FE itself. It cites three kinds of entries, each of which has a narrow meaning.
Indonesia’s TKDN listing
TKDN is Indonesia’s local-content certification system. According to Notebookcheck, citing TheTechOutlook, a model numbered V2653 appears there with 5G connectivity. The listing reportedly gives no other specifications, so it confirms the model is 5G and little else.
IMEI databases
Notebookcheck, citing Android Treasure, says IMEI databases list models V2653 and V2654. An IMEI entry shows that a device identifier has been registered for a model. It does not show which countries the phone will be sold in, or when.

Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) database
According to the same report, V2653 also appears in the EEC database. This is a regulatory registration step. It is consistent with eventual sales in the markets that database covers, but it does not establish a date or a retail listing.
Two limits apply to all three. The underlying database records were not checked directly for this article, so the entries are secondhand until someone reads them in the original databases. Model numbers in certification records are also internal identifiers, and a final commercial name can differ.
Why “global release” needs qualification
Certification in several markets suggests that a model is being prepared for more than one region. It does not confirm that the phone will launch globally. A reader can treat a global release as established only when all of the following are published by vivo or a regional vivo channel:

- An official announcement that uses the name “X500 FE”.
- A list of countries or regions where the phone will be sold.
- A launch or sale date for each region.
- A confirmed price in each region.
- A full specification sheet, including chipset, display, cameras, battery and software.
As of 9 October 2026, none of these items is established for the X500 FE.

Notebookcheck describes the X300 FE as the expected predecessor, launched in April 2026. Its reported details are a 6.31-inch AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and Zeiss-tuned cameras. These are X300 FE details. They should not be read as X500 FE specifications, and the table below keeps the two models separate.

In English, this translates as: “The professional ceiling of the X500 series must be high enough to serve as a productivity tool for creators; the barrier to entry for the mass experience must be low enough that ordinary people can casually capture a cinematic feel.” The English is a translation; the Chinese is vivo’s original. The statement describes the X500 line, not the FE.
How to tell when the X500 FE is confirmed
If you are tracking the phone, these checks separate a real launch from a certification-only report:
- Open vivo’s newsroom for your country and search for “X500 FE”. A model name on a certification site alone is not a launch.
- Check the official vivo store or regional vivo site for a listed product page with a price and a sale date.
- Confirm the market. A launch in one country does not imply the same date or specification set elsewhere.
- Compare any specification claim with the official product page. Use predecessor details only as context.
- Treat certification numbers such as V2653 as identifiers, not as product names, until vivo uses them publicly.
Until a step above returns a result, the X500 FE should be treated as a reported model in certification, with no confirmed release.
