A community post claims LEGO Icons set 11399 will be a new Lord of the Rings: Helm’s Deep build, but the report is unconfirmed. No verified piece count—including the “over 8,000 pieces” suggested by the headline—price, release date, or minifigure lineup for this rumored set is established by the sources reviewed. The confirmed 8,278-piece set is Minas Tirith (11377), a separate product.
Is the rumored Helm’s Deep LEGO set confirmed?
No official LEGO announcement for Helm’s Deep set 11399 is established by the available sources. An October 6, 2026 post on r/Legoleak claims to share information attributed to Brickmerge, but that attribution has not been independently verified. Treat the post as a community report, not a confirmed product listing. Read the r/Legoleak post.

The post’s title points to June 2027, but the sources reviewed do not verify a release date. LEGO has not confirmed specifications for 11399 in the cited material.
What does the 11399 report actually establish?
It establishes that a community post is circulating a claim about a purported Helm’s Deep set numbered 11399. It does not establish the set’s piece count, price, figures, or design. Discussion in the thread about scale, battle scenes, and possible features is fan speculation, not product information.

Which Lord of the Rings set has 8,278 pieces?
LEGO’s US shop lists The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith (11377) as a separate, available product. LEGO lists 8,278 pieces, a US price of $649.99, and dimensions of over 59 cm high, 62 cm wide, and 37 cm deep. The price and availability are from the US listing checked October 7, 2026, and may change; they should not be read as prices or availability in other countries. See LEGO’s official US listing for Minas Tirith 11377.

Minas Tirith’s 8,278-piece count is the likely source of confusion around the “over 8,000 pieces” claim. It is not evidence that the reported Helm’s Deep set has the same count or scale.

What is known about Minas Tirith’s design?
LEGO describes Minas Tirith as a hybrid-scale model: a microscale exterior paired with interior details designed for minifigures. The official listing names Gandalf the White, Faramir, Denethor, Peregrin Took, Aragorn as King Elessar, Arwen, and four Soldiers of Gondor, as well as a Shadowfax horse figure.

In a June 2026 interview about Minas Tirith, LEGO designer Francois Zapf explained the challenge of combining the city view with places for figures: “The idea was to explore a different approach for this model – it was tricky to nail it.” Those comments describe Minas Tirith’s design process only; they do not indicate how a future Helm’s Deep model might be built. What should fans wait for before treating the leak as fact?
For reliable specifications, look for an official LEGO product page or announcement that names 11399 and lists its features. Until then, keep the rumored set separate from Minas Tirith: the confirmed set’s piece count, price, minifigures, and design belong to 11377, not Helm’s Deep. USA TODAY also reported Minas Tirith’s 8,278 pieces and 10 minifigures in June 2026; its article mentioned an early-access window and a gift promotion that ended June 7, 2026, so that offer is not current.
