They are not interchangeable products, and the available evidence varies: the Vega II and Genea MCP descriptions come from Help Net Security, while BlackFog and Thales have published their own product information.
At a glance: four products, four different jobs
| Product | Target problem | What the announcement describes |
|---|---|---|
| Vega II | SOC investigation and institutional memory | Security-trained frontier AI, a lasting record of what teams learn, and an effort to remove legacy SIEM and data-pipeline barriers, as described by Help Net Security. |
| Genea MCP | Physical-access administration | An MCP server connecting AI agents to Genea Access Control for natural-language workflows, as described by Help Net Security. |
| BlackFog ADX Vision 2.0 | Governance of employee and agent AI use | BlackFog says it applies policy to AI interactions at input and extends governance to agentic AI. BlackFog product information. |

What each product is meant to do
Vega II: security operations and retained knowledge
Help Net Security characterizes Vega II as the company’s largest platform release since it emerged from stealth. The roundup says it brings security-trained frontier AI into the security operations center (SOC), keeps what teams learn in a lasting record, and aims to remove legacy SIEM and data-pipeline barriers that can make information inaccessible. Those descriptions point to a product focused on investigation and preserving operational knowledge, rather than a general-purpose AI assistant.

Implementation details, integrations, performance, and availability were not established in the cited announcement. Buyers should therefore treat the capabilities as a product description, not as evidence of how Vega II will fit a particular SOC.
Genea MCP: natural-language access-control workflows
Help Net Security describes Genea MCP as a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that connects AI agents directly to Genea Access Control. The examples given are onboarding a new hire, arranging temporary contractor access, and unlocking a loading dock through natural-language instructions. These illustrate the intended workflows; they do not establish that the actions were independently tested or that any AI agent can safely perform them without configured authorization.

For a system that can affect physical entry, prospective users will need to understand how identity, permissions, approval steps, and audit trails work. The cited material does not establish those controls, supported agents, commercial terms, or availability.
BlackFog ADX Vision 2.0: policy at the point of AI input
BlackFog says ADX Vision 2.0 applies policy to AI interactions at the point of input, independently of the model, and extends governance to agentic AI. Its product material lists seven layers of prompt protection, company or departmental policies, redirection to sanctioned licensed services, optional prompt auditing, and unified token visibility. BlackFog also positions its broader ADX platform as endpoint software intended to block unauthorized outbound data movement in real time.

These are BlackFog’s stated capabilities and effectiveness claims; independent testing of ADX Vision 2.0 was not established in the available material. Organizations evaluating it should ask which AI services and agent workflows are supported, how policy exceptions work, and what prompt or usage data is retained.

Thales Sentinel Envelope Plus: protection for compiled software
Announced on October 1, 2026, Sentinel Envelope Plus is an addition to Thales’ Sentinel Envelope software-protection solution. Thales says it applies multiple layers of protection to selected security-sensitive areas of compiled applications without requiring source-code changes or a special development environment. Developers can choose which parts receive stronger protection, with the aim of balancing security and performance. Thales says the product is available as a paid add-on to the Sentinel platform.

Thales also reported a controlled test of an AI agent analyzing an application before and after protection. In the company’s account, the agent found 8 of 10 vulnerabilities in the unprotected application and none in the protected one, while using 970 times as many tokens on the protected-app analysis; Thales says that analysis was halted after nearly seven hours. These are Thales-reported results from its test, not independent validation, and should not be generalized to other applications, agents, or test conditions. The announcement does not, by itself, establish how the result would translate to a particular software product.

The useful comparison is the operational layer each product targets, not a feature-for-feature ranking. Vega II concerns SOC investigation and memory; Genea MCP concerns physical-access administration; BlackFog ADX Vision 2.0 concerns governance of employee and agent AI use; Sentinel Envelope Plus concerns protecting a software vendor’s compiled applications.
