Antigravity has scheduled an official announcement for October 20, 2026, at 2pm BST. Its teaser says “The A1 Becomes More,” but the company has not said whether that means a new aircraft, a firmware expansion, an accessory, or a bundle. As of October 16, there is no confirmed second drone, new model name, price, specification sheet or regional launch plan.
What Antigravity has officially announced
The Antigravity website currently carries an October 20, 2pm BST banner with the wording “The A1 Becomes More.” The same banner says customers can “Subscribe now and unlock a complimentary Fast Charger with your A1 purchase when the new experience launches.” That language confirms a scheduled reveal and a purchase-linked charger offer, but it does not identify the product or feature being revealed.
The safest reading is therefore an expansion of the existing A1 experience, not proof that Antigravity is replacing it with a second drone. The announcement could still turn out to be new hardware; the primary teaser has simply not established that yet.

What the Antigravity A1 is today
The A1 is a 249-gram drone that Insta360 describes as the world’s first drone with built-in 8K 360 capture. Its dual-lens camera records the scene around the aircraft, while stitching software removes the drone from live and recorded footage. That lets a pilot reframe the view after capture instead of choosing one fixed camera direction during the flight.
The flight system combines Vision goggles with a Grip controller and Antigravity’s FreeMotion technology. FreeMotion allows the aircraft to travel in one direction while the pilot looks elsewhere through the goggles. The A1 also includes return-to-home and a payload detection system. Insta360 presents the 249-gram weight as remaining below registration thresholds in most countries and regions, but aviation requirements differ by jurisdiction, so weight alone does not determine whether registration, training or a flight authorization is required.

Insta360 co-founder and vice president of marketing Max Richter said: “Antigravity A1 is unlike anything we’ve helped bring to market, and it’s set to revolutionize drone flight in several key ways.” The official Antigravity page also quotes SlashGear technology review writer Andy Zahn calling it “the most exciting UAV I’ve flown in years” and “something so very different in this space.”
Software already added before October 20
Several substantial capabilities are already published A1 features, so they should not be mistaken for the October 20 reveal. Antigravity’s May 13, 2026 software update lists:

Because these functions are already documented, “The A1 Becomes More” may refer to a new software experience, a further flight or editing capability, or hardware that extends the current system. Nothing published before October 20 distinguishes among those possibilities.
What the Fast Charger promotion means
The only concrete commercial detail in the teaser is a complimentary Fast Charger with an A1 purchase when the new experience launches. The wording does not state the charger’s charging rate, whether it replaces an existing charger, which A1 package qualifies, how long the offer lasts, or which countries are included.

What is still unknown
- Whether October 20 introduces a new aircraft, an A1 add-on, firmware, a service, or a bundle.
- Whether any new item has a separate model name.
- Price, availability by country and shipping date.
- Capture, battery, control, safety or connectivity specifications beyond those already published for the A1.
- Which A1 configurations qualify for the complimentary Fast Charger.
Claims that the event will reveal a cellular module, replacement aircraft or definite “A2” model go beyond the available announcement. They should remain speculation until Antigravity publishes them.

When and where to get a definite answer
The scheduled moment is October 20, 2026, at 2pm BST. Until Antigravity publishes the launch details, treat the banner as a teaser rather than a product specification. At the reveal, check whether the company identifies a model number, publishes technical specifications and a price, lists supported countries, explains compatibility with existing goggles and controllers, and provides the exact Fast Charger eligibility period.
For pilots deciding whether to buy before the announcement, the practical choice is to wait if the charger promotion or possible new capability matters to you. Buying now should be based only on the A1’s currently documented 8K 360 system and software, not on an assumed October 20 upgrade.
