The NETGEAR Orbi 370 is a reasonably flexible WiFi 7 mesh family for homes that need multiple access points and multi-gig Ethernet, but it is not a full-featured tri-band WiFi 7 system: it uses 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz only, with no 6 GHz band. Its strongest case is broad coverage and wired connectivity at a lower tier than systems that add 6 GHz; its main compromises are limited Ethernet ports and fewer wireless-band options.
What the Orbi 370 includes—and which model to buy
NETGEAR announced the Orbi 370 Series on July 29, 2025. The family name covers a router, a matching satellite, and packs with different node counts, so check the model number before buying. The two-pack is RBE372, consisting of one RBE371 router and one RBE370 satellite; the three-pack is RBE373, with one router and two satellites. NETGEAR also lists a four-pack as RBE374. The RBE370 is an add-on satellite, not a standalone router.

NETGEAR’s US product page listed the satellite alone for $139.99, the two-pack for $209.99, the three-pack for $299.99, and the four-pack for $379.99 on October 7, 2026. WiFi 7, but only on two bands
The Orbi 370 operates on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. It has no 6 GHz radio, which is the key distinction from tri-band WiFi 7 mesh systems. That omission may not matter if your devices use 2.4 or 5 GHz and your priority is extending coverage, but buyers specifically seeking 6 GHz or the highest available short-range wireless throughput should look at tri-band alternatives.

NETGEAR markets the US system as BE5000, with maximum WiFi speeds of up to 5 Gbps, support for up to 70 concurrent devices, and coverage of up to 2,000 square feet per router or satellite. The four-pack listing claims up to 8,000 square feet. These are manufacturer ratings, not guarantees: building materials, layout, interference, client hardware, broadband service, and node placement all affect the result. Regional figures can differ. NETGEAR’s EU RBE370 specification, for example, advertises up to 3.6 Gbps for the satellite and up to 120 m² of additional coverage per satellite, so use the specification for the exact local model and pack rather than mixing regional claims. Ports: multi-gig speed, not many connections
The RBE371 router has one 2.5 Gbps WAN port and one 2.5 Gbps LAN port. Each RBE370 satellite has one 2.5 Gbps LAN port. NETGEAR supports wired backhaul, so a satellite can use Ethernet for its connection to the router instead of relying on wireless backhaul. The port speeds are useful for multi-gig internet and wired devices, but the count is sparse: if you need to connect several PCs, consoles, TVs, or network storage devices by cable, plan on adding an Ethernet switch.

NETGEAR’s EU specification lists a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor and four WiFi streams for the satellite. Those specifications describe the hardware; they do not by themselves predict performance in a particular home. NETGEAR EU technical specifications

Speed and range
RTINGS says it bought and tested the RBE372 two-pack. It found impressive top speeds on 5 GHz and very good range, while noting that the system lacks 6 GHz. Those are the review’s findings under its test conditions, not a promise of equivalent results in every home. RTINGS Orbi 370 RBE372 review

Tom’s Guide reported more than 1 Gbps wireless and more than 2 Gbps wired performance in its own test environment. Its reviewer’s three-unit setup took 22 minutes and was described as simple but somewhat tedious. Those individual results depend on the review’s equipment and conditions, and should not be treated as expected speeds for a different broadband plan or home. Tom’s Guide review
Gaming and everyday management
RTINGS does not recommend the Orbi 370 for competitive gaming over WiFi; its review advises a wired connection for lower-latency play. Tom’s Guide describes setup through the app and management through the app or browser, with more controls available in the browser interface. RTINGS review · Tom’s Guide review

App features, network separation, and subscriptions
NETGEAR lists the Orbi app for setup and management, support for up to three networks for main, IoT, and guest use, access control, WPA3, automatic firmware-update support, and VPN support. These listed functions are separate from NETGEAR Armor, an optional security service powered by Bitdefender that the product page describes as offering threat protection and VPN features. Subscription terms and included trial details can change, so verify them locally before relying on them. TechRadar reports that parental controls require a subscription; check the current feature list for which controls, if any, are gated by a paid plan. NETGEAR product listing · TechRadar review

It makes sense if
- You want a multi-node mesh system with WiFi 7 and do not need 6 GHz.
- You value 2.5 Gbps ports or want the option of wired backhaul.
- You need to choose among two-, three-, or four-node configurations rather than buy one fixed pack size.
- Your wired-device count is low, or you are comfortable adding an Ethernet switch.
Consider another system if
- A dedicated 6 GHz band is important to your devices or use case.
- You need several Ethernet connections on each node and do not want extra switching hardware.
- Your priority is competitive gaming latency over WiFi; a wired connection is preferable according to RTINGS.
When comparing it with another mesh kit, match the number of nodes and compare current total price, coverage claims alongside your home layout, 6 GHz availability, port count and speed, independent results under comparable tests, and any recurring security or parental-control subscription costs. For expansion, NETGEAR’s compatibility matrix lists the RBE370 as compatible with the RBE371, but not with the other listed Orbi WiFi 7 router families; treat it as a 370 Series add-on rather than a universal Orbi satellite.
