NEEWER claims up to 56,000 lux at one metre with the supplied standard reflector; that is a manufacturer figure, not an independent test result. It is most relevant to production setups that can use its output, color flexibility and control options—not automatically to every studio or creator.
What the AS600C is
NEEWER identifies the AS600C as a 600W RGB COB studio video light. Its specifications list 720W power input, so the 600W rating should not be read as its stated mains draw. NEEWER lists AC 100–240V and DC 60V/12A input options. The lamp body is listed at 5 kg (11 lb), with a separate controller box weighing 3.74 kg (8.2 lb). These figures describe a substantial fixture-and-controller setup rather than a compact, all-in-one light.

NEEWER positions the light for larger studios and production work, including film, television, broadcast, streaming, podcast recording and photography. Whether that makes sense for a particular buyer depends on available space, the modifiers and stands in use, the color workflow, and whether DMX or coordinated fixtures are needed.

NEEWER’s US product page claims up to 56,000 lux at one metre at 5200K with the standard reflector. Its Canadian product specifications list 21,000 lux at one metre without the reflector. These are different accessory conditions, so the figures are not a direct before-and-after comparison or a single number that applies to every setup. They are manufacturer specifications, not independently measured results.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
A reflector concentrates and directs light differently from a bare fixture or a softbox. If you plan to use a modifier, assess the light in that configuration rather than assuming the reflector figure carries over. The package includes a reflector and honeycomb grid; a softbox is optional, not necessary to use the supplied reflector.
Color, dimming and effects
NEEWER lists a 2500K–7500K color-temperature range, plus green-magenta adjustment from -50 to +50. Brightness is specified from 0–100%, adjustable in 0.1% increments. The listed CRI/TLCI figures are 95+/98+, respectively. These ratings and ranges describe the manufacturer’s specifications; they do not establish color consistency across modes or performance in a measured production test.

NEEWER lists four control routes: the onboard display, a DMX console, the NEEWER app or Control Center. Its product page also describes 2.4G grouping for lights on the same channel. DMX is useful when a lighting console or production workflow needs centralized control; app or onboard control may be sufficient for a smaller setup. Confirm that the control method and channel arrangement fit the fixtures already in your workflow.

The light has a standard Bowens mount and a 360-degree U bracket, giving it a familiar modifier interface and flexible aiming. NEEWER lists high, medium and silent fan settings, but does not provide decibel readings or establish how audible the fan is during recording under a particular load. “Silent” is a listed setting, not a measured noise guarantee.
What comes in the listed package
NEEWER lists the following contents: light, controller box, power cord, reflector, honeycomb grid, U bracket, protective cover, controller cable, steel wire, super clamp and trolley case. This is a useful foundation for transport and setup, but it does not mean every stand, modifier or other production accessory is included. Check the live regional listing for the exact package being sold.

What is not established by the specifications
The available product information does not establish independent brightness measurements, color accuracy or consistency in practice, output across RGB modes, fan noise in decibels, or thermal behavior under sustained use. It also does not provide a controlled comparison with the AS600B bi-color 600W fixture, the FS600C RGB 600W fixture, or other lights. NEEWER’s catalog lists the AS600B and FS600C as alternatives, but that listing is not evidence of which performs better.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
For a meaningful comparison, look for results measured at the same distance and with the same reflector or modifier, then compare color and tuning range, control and DMX needs, fan noise and thermal behavior under load, mount and included accessories, and current regional price and warranty. The manufacturer’s figures are useful for understanding the listed feature set, but cannot settle those performance comparisons.

Price and availability depend on region
NEEWER’s US page displayed a price of $799.00 alongside a struck-through $999.00, while also showing both “More stock coming soon” and a stock count. The page says prices vary by location, and NEEWER’s Canadian page showed different Canadian pricing and stock. Those page details are not a reliable universal price or stock status. Check the live listing for your market before deciding; the listed price and availability can change.
Who should consider the AS600C?
- It may fit: a studio or production crew that can use a high-output COB fixture, wants RGB and adjustable white-light controls, and has a practical need for DMX, grouping, or multiple control routes.
- Think carefully first: if your space is small, your workflow uses only one fixed white-light setting, or you need independently verified output, color or noise performance before buying.
- Check the whole setup: account for the fixture and controller box, mounting and transport needs, and whether the included reflector and grid suit the work—or whether you will need additional modifiers.
For an apples-to-apples look at NEEWER’s listed product range, see its LED lights catalog. The catalog identifies models but does not provide a controlled performance ranking.
