AT&T Prepaid, Connect by T-Mobile, and Verizon Prepaid each state that their prepaid service does not require a credit check. The five choices below are plan tiers or offers from those three carriers—not five separate providers.

Why prepaid is the practical route after a denial
Prepaid service generally means paying for service in advance rather than asking a carrier to extend postpaid billing credit. The three carriers listed above explicitly state that their prepaid service does not require a credit check: AT&T’s page says “No Annual Contract, No Credit Checks”; Connect by T-Mobile’s FAQ says a credit check is not required; and Verizon Prepaid advertises no annual contracts or credit checks.

A prepaid plan does not guarantee approval for every separate transaction. A phone bought on installments, through a lease-to-own arrangement, or as part of a postpaid upgrade may have its own credit or eligibility review. Do not assume that a no-check service plan also makes a new handset available with no upfront payment or review.
How to compare the real cost and limits
- Cash due today: Distinguish a recurring monthly bill from a full-year payment. AT&T’s $20 monthly equivalent requires paying $240 upfront, and its offer has activation and purchase eligibility conditions.
- Data behavior: Connect’s three listed plans stop on-network data access at the stated allotment for the rest of the bill cycle. AT&T’s annual offer continues data at reduced speeds after 16GB, capped at 1.5Mbps.
- Recurring price and conditions: Check whether taxes and fees are extra, whether Auto Pay is necessary for the advertised price, and whether the first month costs more. Verizon’s listed amount is “as low as” $35 with Auto Pay after the first month; confirm the current terms.
- Flexibility: A year paid in advance can lower the monthly equivalent but ties up more money and is less flexible than paying month to month.
- Other usage needs: Verify hotspot, international use, video quality, and any additional limits if they matter to you; the listed offer details do not establish all of those features.
Check coverage and your phone before switching
Look up coverage where you live, work, and regularly travel—not just in the carrier’s broad service area. Also confirm that your exact phone model is compatible and unlocked before ordering a SIM or activating service. Connect by T-Mobile supports bring-your-own-device. AT&T says most unlocked Android phones and iPhones newer than iPhone 6 work with its prepaid service, but check the specific device using the carrier’s compatibility information. You may not need to buy a new phone if your current one qualifies.

Why other prepaid plans are not counted here
A plan’s prepaid price or no-contract terms alone do not establish that the carrier skips a credit check. Cricket Wireless lists an unlimited plan at $35 per month with Auto Pay ($40 for the first month), possible temporary slowdowns when its network is busy, and SD video. Its broadband facts disclosure lists $40 per month before discounts and says no contract is required, but the reviewed plan page did not explicitly confirm a no-credit-check policy. Visible lists a base unlimited plan at $25 per month with taxes and fees included, but the reviewed plans page likewise did not confirm its credit-check policy. Those offers therefore are not included as verified no-check choices.

The program’s result page says 12 months of on-time payments can qualify a customer to move to postpaid, receive select-device $0-down pricing, and skip a credit check. That qualification path is distinct from choosing one of the prepaid plans above: T-Mobile Smartphone Equality.
