What the Class II classification means
The recall was reported as classified Class II on September 21, 2026. FDA’s definition, reproduced in the report, describes a situation that “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious health consequences is remote.” This is the meaning of the category, not a prediction about what will happen to an individual user or a guarantee about any particular bottle.
