Nacon’s profiles are intended starting points—not universal optimal settings. For FPS games, check stick centering before trying the zero-dead-zone FPS Pro option; for racing, choose trigger travel to suit gradual or quick inputs; for fighting games, verify the exact directional moves you rely on.
Which Revolution 5 Pro profile should you start with?
The controller ships with four profiles, including three aimed at these genres. Nacon describes their intended behavior in its product information and quick-start guide:

| Profile | Nacon’s description | Good first test |
|---|---|---|
| Racing/Sports (Profile 1) | Intended for racing and sports games. | Check whether steering and trigger travel feel controllable in your game. |
| FPS (Profile 2) | Reactive left-stick curve for quick movement; progressive right-stick curve for precision aiming. | Test movement, slow tracking, and small aim corrections. |
| Arcade/Fighting (Profile 3) | Instant curves on both sticks for quicker reactions. | Test the directional inputs and moves you use most. |
These descriptions explain the profiles’ design intent, not a guaranteed advantage or a per-game recommendation. Start with the matching profile and change only one variable before testing again.
FPS settings: balance aim response with stick centering
Start with the FPS profile
Profile 2 is the most relevant starting point: Nacon describes its left stick as reactive for quick movement and its right stick as progressive for precision aiming. If the right stick feels too abrupt, try a different response curve or make a small adjustment to the game’s aim sensitivity. Avoid changing both at once; otherwise, it is harder to tell which change helped.

Try FPS Pro’s zero dead zone cautiously
Nacon support describes FPS Pro as deactivating the joystick dead zone. That can make input register with less stick movement, but it is not a universal setting for every FPS game. First check that the camera or character remains still when the stick is at rest. If the game registers unintended movement, increase the dead zone if the game allows it, or leave FPS Pro off. Then test slow tracking and small corrections in the actual game. These are practical steps for evaluating the documented controls, not Nacon-certified optimal settings.
Racing settings: choose trigger travel for the kind of input you need
Start with Racing/Sports
Profile 1 is Nacon’s Racing/Sports starting point. For games in which gradual throttle or braking input is useful, begin with longer trigger travel and see whether it gives you the control you want. If you prefer faster, more immediate trigger presses, try shorter travel instead.

The physical trigger blocker lets you change trigger travel in Classic mode. Nacon does not specify a universal trigger-stop position or settings for individual racing games, so treat travel length as a preference to test rather than a fixed genre rule.
Fighting settings: test directional inputs before changing curves
Start with Arcade/Fighting
Profile 3 uses instant curves on both sticks, according to Nacon. Choose it as a starting point, then test the directional inputs your game requires, including quarter-circle or charge motions if you use them.

Compare modes if a move fails consistently
Nacon support surfaces a report that some directional-pad movements may not be achieved in Advanced Mode during a versus fighting game. If a required input fails consistently, compare it in Classic mode or with another profile before changing several settings. This reported issue does not establish that all players, games, or directional inputs will be affected.
How do you customize Revolution 5 Pro profiles?
Use Classic mode for quick hardware-level adjustments, or the Revolution 5 Pro app’s Advanced mode for deeper configuration. Nacon says Advanced mode offers more than 60 setting variations. The product page also describes four preloaded profiles and the ability to create and share profiles.

Nacon lists compatibility with PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Its product information says the controller’s two vibration motors work with PC and PS4 games, but not dedicated PS5 games. Game-level controller options can also affect input behavior, so check those settings alongside the controller profile when troubleshooting.
