Naboo Puts AI at the Center of Corporate Event Procurement—but 12% Isn’t a Verified Cost Cut

No: the available evidence does not show that Naboo’s AI cuts total corporate event costs by 12%. The company’s current U.S. homepage uses 11–12% to illustrate pre-negotiated venue rates, while separately claiming almost 25% average savings on event spend. Naboo does not publish a calculation method or independent validation for that broader savings claim. The rebrand makes its focus on corporate event procurement clearer; it does not, by itself, prove a specific AI-driven cost reduction.

What Naboo does

Naboo describes itself as a platform for sourcing, managing and tracking corporate event spend. Its positioning is broader than a venue-booking site: the service is intended to bring proposal sourcing, booking administration, purchasing, payments, approvals and spend visibility into one workflow. Naboo says that workflow combines AI assistance with dedicated human support. Naboo’s homepage

The company’s rebrand addresses a recognition problem: Naboo says people often associated its name primarily with a Star Wars reference rather than with its business. Its stated aim is to make the corporate-event category more apparent. The available account describes a clearer market identity, not a fully documented legal renaming. Naboo’s company article

What the 12% figure means—and what it doesn’t

On its U.S. homepage, Naboo displays venue proposals illustrating pre-negotiated rates of 11–12% off. That is a venue-rate example, not evidence that AI lowers the total cost of every corporate event by 12%. Venue pricing is only one part of event spend, and the homepage does not establish that the displayed discount applies to every booking or customer. Naboo’s homepage

The same page makes a separate claim: almost 25% average savings on event spend. Naboo does not explain the baseline, sample, calculation method or period behind that average on the reviewed page, and no independent validation is provided there. Treat it as a company claim, not a guaranteed outcome or a figure that can be directly attributed to AI. Naboo’s homepage

How Naboo says AI fits into event planning

Naboo identifies repetitive planning work as the area where AI can assist: researching venues, comparing proposals, drafting communications and keeping booking activity organized. The company’s stated workflow leaves the event brief, shortlist and final decision under planner control, with human support available for the service’s high-touch parts. Naboo’s AI article

In an article published March 25, 2026, and updated October 1, 2026, CEO and co-founder Maxime Eduardo said the technology can handle “close to 90% of the sourcing and research process.” He also emphasized the continuing role of human judgment for events, which he described as visible and high-stakes. That percentage is his company’s statement about process coverage; it is not an independently measured automation rate, and it does not establish a 90% reduction in planning time or cost. What the company’s growth figures add to the story

Naboo announced a $70 million Series B in February 2026. In the same announcement, it reported $150 million in transaction volume, three consecutive years of threefold year-over-year growth, zero corporate-customer churn and a greater-than-90% win rate on large-enterprise RFPs. These are company-reported figures, not independently established customer or financial outcomes. The announcement also put the global corporate events market at $400 billion; that is Naboo’s estimate. Naboo’s funding announcement

Earlier figures describe a different period and business model. TechCrunch reported on January 28, 2025, that Naboo had generated €60 million in booking volume in 2024, with an average take rate of 17% and approximately €10 million in revenue. Those historical marketplace figures should not be read as current performance or directly compared with the company’s 2026 claims without further context. TechCrunch’s January 28, 2025 report

What event buyers should verify before relying on savings claims

A procurement platform can make sourcing and approvals easier to manage, but a headline discount alone cannot establish the value of an event. Buyers evaluating Naboo or any event-procurement workflow should ask for details that connect the quoted rate to their own budget and requirements:

  • Scope: Which venues, suppliers, services and regions are available for the event being planned?
  • Price baseline: What undiscounted rate is the venue discount compared with, and are the dates, package and terms like-for-like?
  • Total spend: Does the savings calculation include fees, catering, production, transport and other event costs, or only selected categories?
  • Controls: Can the workflow route proposals through the company’s approval process and provide the records finance and procurement need?
  • Integrations and payments: Which payment and ERP integrations are supported for the buyer’s region and setup?
  • Evidence: How are savings calculated, over what period and against what baseline? Can the supplier provide customer-level outcomes that can be checked independently?

The available information does not support ranking Naboo against other providers. A useful comparison would need consistent evidence on supplier coverage, human-service support, procurement controls, payment and ERP integrations, geographic availability, and how each company calculates savings.
