You play as Gordon, a repairman sent to investigate the return of a once-popular puppet television show. The structure is non-linear rather than a simple sequence of fights. Exploration, map use, puzzle solving, resource decisions, and combat all form part of the advertised experience. Steam also lists a post-game Neighborhorde mode, giving players an additional mode after the main game.

The publisher describes a real-time, grid-based inventory, making item organization part of the survival-horror framework. One distinctive weapon is the Rolodexer, which fires letters as ammunition. That playful idea signals the game’s willingness to draw comedy from its setting, while the survival mechanics still ask you to make choices about resources and encounters.

Is it scary, and how graphic is it?
The horror comes wrapped in bright colors, puppet characters, and comedy rather than a realistic presentation. DreadXP says the game does not rely on dismemberment or decapitation, but also warns that defeated puppets do not necessarily stay down. That is the publisher’s description of the tone—not an age rating or a guarantee that the game will feel mild. Persistent enemies and the contrast between children’s-show imagery and danger may still unsettle some players.
If you are choosing a horror game by presentation, consider whether you enjoy eerie or hostile settings even when they are colorful and comedic. The publisher’s press kit and Steam’s downloadable demo are useful references for judging that fit; the demo is the more direct way to sample the game itself.

Who is likely to enjoy it?
- Consider it if you like first-person exploration, puzzles, survival-horror combat, and managing items rather than relying only on action.
- Its setting may appeal if you want a horror game with an unusual puppet-show premise and a comic streak.
- Look elsewhere if multiplayer is essential: Steam lists the game as single-player.
- Be cautious if you specifically want realistic, gore-focused horror or prefer a game whose enemies stay defeated. Those preferences may not align with the publisher’s description.

That dated user-review snapshot can change and should not be confused with a critic consensus; the same listing displayed a Metacritic score of 82.

These are the requirements published on Steam, not a guarantee of performance on every system. Steam’s listing also notes that the Steam client itself requires Windows 10 or later as of January 2024; that client requirement is separate from the game’s listed minimum operating system.
A developer announcement dated July 17, 2025 said console versions were launching for Xbox consoles and PlayStation 5 and mentioned Xbox Game Pass. It also said other platform targets might follow, which does not establish present availability on every console or in every country. Check the storefront for your region before buying. Should you try the demo?
For a game whose appeal depends on both its unusual tone and its mix of exploration, puzzles, and survival systems, the Steam demo is the most practical way to check whether the experience suits you. Pay attention to whether the puppet-show presentation feels entertaining or unsettling to you, and whether the pace of exploring, solving puzzles, and managing encounters is what you want from a horror game.
