MSI RTX 5070 Ti Gaming Trio Was Listed at €1,169 by MediaMarkt Austria Before Launch

MediaMarkt Austria was reported on February 11, 2025, to have listed MSI’s GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16G Gaming Trio OC Plus (model G507T-16GTCP) for €1,169 ahead of its expected February 20 release. The page was later removed, so €1,169 was an early retailer listing—not confirmed final launch pricing and not the price of every RTX 5070 Ti.

Contemporary coverage placed the listing roughly 30–32% above the European or German reference price, depending on the comparison and VAT treatment. The card was also MSI’s premium, factory-overclocked Gaming Trio design rather than a baseline partner model.

Was the €1,169 listing genuine?

The surviving evidence supports calling it a genuine, reported MediaMarkt Austria product listing. VideoCardz reported the exact MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16G Gaming Trio OC Plus, a €1,169 price and a February 20, 2025 release date. MediaMarkt subsequently removed the page, leaving contemporaneous reporting and screenshots as the main evidence: VideoCardz report.

That distinction matters. A retailer listing can be a preorder page, an inventory placeholder or an intended launch price. It is not automatically an NVIDIA MSRP, proof of stock, evidence that an order was completed, or confirmation of the final street price. There is no established evidence that MediaMarkt ultimately sold this exact card for €1,169.

Which RTX 5070 Ti was listed?

This was not an unspecified RTX 5070 Ti. It was MSI’s large, factory-overclocked Gaming Trio OC Plus. MSI identifies it as model G507T-16GTCP and lists the following specifications: MSI specification page.

Why €1,169 attracted attention

The listing appeared before the RTX 5070 Ti’s expected retail launch and was reported at approximately 30–32% above the European or German reference price used by contemporary coverage. The exact percentage varies with the reference price, currency comparison and regional VAT treatment; the safest factual statement is that the Austrian listing was €1,169.

Gaming Trio cards sit above simpler partner families such as Ventus or Shadow. MSI equips this model with a large TRI FROZR 4 cooler, StormForce fans, a nickel-plated copper baseplate, metal backplate, dual BIOS and MSI Center controls. Those features can support lower temperatures, lower noise or more sustained boost, depending on the case, airflow, BIOS mode and workload. They do not make the GPU core 30% faster.

The RTX 5070 Ti also had no NVIDIA Founders Edition, leaving board partners to determine much of the available retail mix. That made an expensive premium design more visible, but it did not turn its price into a universal class-wide MSRP.

Was €1,169 the price of every RTX 5070 Ti?

No. Early European listings showed substantial variation:

Example Reported early price What it shows
MSI Gaming Trio OC Plus, Austria €1,169 Premium MSI design; listing later removed
Same MSI Gaming Trio family, France Approximately €1,149–€1,150 Another prelaunch retailer listing
Other RTX 5070 Ti models in Germany Approximately €1,149 to more than €1,350 Board design and factory overclock affected pricing
Non-OC model at another European retailer Closer to the reference price Not every partner card carried the premium

What performance does the premium buy?

The Gaming Trio OC Plus uses the same RTX 5070 Ti GPU and 16GB memory configuration as other RTX 5070 Ti boards. Its factory clock increase is modest, so buyers should not expect performance proportional to a 30%-plus price premium.

  • A larger cooler may reduce temperatures or fan noise.
  • Extra thermal capacity can help the card sustain boost clocks, subject to the system and workload.
  • Dual BIOS provides Gaming and Silent operating modes.
  • Independent reviews—not the model name or manufacturer feature list—are needed to quantify frame rates, noise and temperatures.

What did the February 20 date mean for availability?

The retailer page reportedly showed February 20, 2025 as the release date. That was a listed launch date, not confirmation of meaningful stock. Prelaunch pages can appear before inventory is allocated, and the reported page indicated that preorder availability would come later. Neither the date nor the listing establishes a stock quantity or guaranteed launch-day order.

Contemporaneous concern about RTX 50-series queues and shortages made early pricing especially important, but no specific MediaMarkt inventory figure has been established: PC Guide’s preorder context.

Checks before buying a Gaming Trio-class card

  1. Measure the case for a 338mm card, including radiator, front-fan and cable-clearance interference.
  2. Reserve three expansion-slot positions; the listed thickness is 50mm.
  3. Use a suitable 16-pin power connection and check the power supply against MSI’s 750W recommendation.
  4. Confirm motherboard and case airflow, especially in compact systems.
  5. Verify the complete model suffix. Gaming Trio, Gaming Trio OC, and Gaming Trio OC Plus are not interchangeable names.
  6. Compare local VAT-inclusive price, warranty and return terms.
  7. Check independent testing before treating cooling or noise advantages as established results.

Buyer takeaway

As of August 16, 2026, the €1,169 figure is best understood as a historical warning about premium RTX 5070 Ti board pricing. It applied to one MSI Gaming Trio OC Plus listing that was removed before launch, not to the entire RTX 5070 Ti range and not to a confirmed final Austrian street price.

Anyone evaluating this model should compare current local prices with cheaper RTX 5070 Ti designs, verify dimensions and power requirements, and consult independent performance and noise testing. The large cooler and dual-BIOS features may justify a premium for some systems, but the modest factory overclock alone cannot justify assuming a matching performance increase.
