What the AY210 and MFY actually are
The AY210 is the force-feedback base. MOZA describes it as a dual-motor unit that produces sustained resistance and movement through the yoke instead of relying only on passive springs. The MFY is the compatible yoke handle that attaches to that base. MOZA’s support documentation says the MFY is designed for the AY210 and AY90 bases, so it should be treated as an accessory to a base, not as a standalone USB yoke.

The torque and force figures describe capability, not a guarantee that every aircraft will use the full range. A light aircraft, an airliner and a combat simulator can all apply different force curves, and excessive settings can make precise control tiring. The useful advantage is the ability to reproduce changing resistance, trim-related loading and other telemetry-driven effects when the simulator supports them.

Simulator compatibility and telemetry support
MOZA lists native telemetry force feedback—without extra plugins—for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, X-Plane 12 and DCS World. Its support page also lists Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, Microsoft Flight Simulator X, X-Plane 11, War Thunder, Star Citizen and IL-2 Great Battles as supported software. “Supported” does not necessarily mean that every title exposes the same force-feedback effects or requires no configuration; verify the current model-specific support instructions for the simulator and version you use.

What the MFY handle adds
The MFY is more than a simple two-axis grip. MOZA specifies up to 34 configurable outputs, two 8-way switches, two Hall-effect joysticks, triggers, RGB lighting and two magnetic DIY panels.

Mounting, ports and desk use
The AY210 supports direct cockpit mounting and aluminum-profile mounting. MOZA also lists optional desktop-clamp configurations. That means desk use is possible in an appropriate clamp arrangement, but a clamp should not be assumed to be included with every AY210 package. A heavy force-feedback base needs a rigid surface; a flexible desk can move before the aircraft control does, wasting the benefit of the motors and making the setup unstable.

The listed connections cover power, USB, throttle, rudder pedals and panel connections. A typical installation therefore keeps the AY210 as the central connection point: the handle attaches to the base, while compatible pedals, throttle hardware and panels connect through their designated ports. Confirm cable routing and the supplied accessories for your regional bundle.
PC setup: a practical installation sequence
- Choose the mounting method. Bolt the base to a cockpit or aluminum profile, or install a compatible desktop clamp on a rigid desk. Check that the full roll movement is clear of monitors, shelves and your knees.
- Attach the MFY. Fit the handle to the AY210 using the manufacturer’s model-specific attachment procedure and check that it is fully secured before applying force.
- Connect the hardware. Connect power and USB to the PC, then connect any throttle, rudder pedals or magnetic panels to the designated AY210 ports.
- Update and configure. Open MOZA’s current PC configuration software, check firmware prompts and confirm that the base, handle and connected accessories are detected. Software labels can change, so use the instructions for the firmware version installed on your unit.
- Bind axes and buttons in the simulator. Assign pitch and roll first, then test the MFY hats, joysticks, triggers and other outputs. Remove duplicate bindings from an existing controller to prevent conflicting commands.
- Enable force feedback. In MSFS 2024, X-Plane 12 or DCS World, use the simulator’s supported telemetry path and begin with conservative force levels. Increase resistance only after confirming that the center position and travel feel correct.
- Test every connected device. Move the yoke through its complete range, check pedal and throttle response, and verify that no cable is pulled tight at either end of travel.
Price and the rest of the system you may need
MOZA’s Canadian store listed the AY210 at $969 CAD on a 2026 product page. That is a time- and region-specific listing; stock, tax, shipping and promotions can change, and the listing should not be read as a permanent worldwide price.

Who should buy it?
It is a strong fit if
- You fly on PC and want active control loading rather than a basic spring-centered yoke.
- You regularly use MSFS 2024, X-Plane 12 or DCS World and value native telemetry support.
- You have, or plan to build, a rigid cockpit or properly clamped desk setup.
- You will use the MFY’s additional hats, mini-sticks, triggers and modular panels.
Think twice if
- You need console support; the AY210 is specified as PC-only.
- You want a compact, all-in-one device with the handle, pedals and throttle included.
- You cannot securely mount a high-force base.
- You are looking for independently verified long-term reliability, noise measurements or a controlled comparison with other yokes. Those results are not established by the available evidence.
