An extending mop, extending side brush, high threshold rating and bagless, self-maintaining dock make it unusually hands-off. HardwareZone’s hands-on testing found strong pickup of household dust, pet fur and larger debris, plus effective rotating-mop cleaning. Its main weakness is value: owners of a one- or two-year-old flagship may not see enough improvement to justify replacing a working machine.
What the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete is
The V70 Ultra Complete combines a robot vacuum with rotating mop pads and a multifunction dock. MOVA lists maximum suction of 42,000Pa, a 6,400mAh battery and two-stage obstacle crossing rated at up to 9cm (or 4.5cm for a single threshold). The robot’s defining features are its 17cm extending mop and 12cm extending side brush, designed to reach farther under cabinet edges and into corners than fixed cleaning hardware.

Those figures are manufacturer specifications, not a guarantee of household results. MOVA says cleaning outcomes vary with floor type, debris and environment, and suction ratings alone do not predict pickup in every home.

| Feature | Specification | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum suction | 42,000Pa | A lab-rated peak; real-world pickup depends on surfaces and debris. |

| Side-brush reach | 12cm extension | Helps sweep dust from corners and along wall lines. |
| Mopping | 300RPM rotating pads; 15N downward pressure | Scrubs rather than simply dragging a wet cloth. |
| Obstacle crossing | Up to 9cm in two stages; 4.5cm single threshold | Useful for some door tracks and raised transitions, subject to the shape of the obstacle. |
| Battery | 6,400mAh | Supports longer cleaning runs; runtime varies with power and mop settings. |
| Dock tanks | 4.0L clean water; 3.5L wastewater | Reduces how often you refill and empty the dock. |

Cleaning performance in real homes
Vacuuming dust, debris and pet hair
HardwareZone reviewer Aaron Yip reported that, after several weeks, the V70 handled everyday dust, pet fur and larger debris without struggle. That is the most useful evidence for routine cleaning: the robot is not merely a high-number specification sheet, but a capable daily vacuum on the tested floors.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The 42,000Pa figure should still be treated as a peak manufacturer rating. Vacuum Wars cautions that suction numbers do not necessarily translate into equivalent pickup, and no standardized V70 test results were published in the available source material. Homes with thick carpet, embedded hair or unusual debris should therefore judge the V70 by its cleaning mode, brush design and navigation rather than Pa alone.
Does the extending mop really clean corners?
Corner and edge coverage is the V70’s clearest differentiator. HardwareZone found that the extending mop and side brush consistently reached tighter corners than most recent robot vacuums in the reviewer’s experience. The 17cm mop extension lets a rotating pad travel toward an edge, while the 12cm side brush sweeps along wall lines.
The pads rotate at up to 300RPM and apply 15N of downward pressure. HardwareZone found the floors clean after mopping, although the reviewer preferred roller-mop systems as a longer-term direction. Rotating pads are still a strong choice for buyers who want scrubbing action and automated washing without committing to a roller system.

Thresholds and obstacle handling
StepMaster 2.0 is rated for up to 9cm of combined two-stage obstacles, with a 4.5cm single-threshold rating. This can help with door tracks or transitions that stop ordinary robot vacuums, but the measurement is not a universal promise: obstacle width, angle and the approach path matter. Measure your highest transition and check whether it is a single step or a two-stage shape before relying on the rating.
What the dock automates
The dock is built for minimal daily intervention. It empties the robot’s dust, washes the mop pads with hot water, dries them with hot air, dispenses cleaning solution and cleans its washboard. The 4.0L clean-water and 3.5L wastewater tanks provide substantial capacity, but homes with heavy pet hair, frequent mopping or large floor areas will use supplies faster.
Is the bagless dock better than a dust bag?
The EcoCyclone dust container is washable and reusable, so there are no disposable dust bags to purchase or stock. MOVA rates it for up to 100 days, but that is a use-dependent estimate rather than a fixed service interval. You still need to empty and wash the container and maintain filters; bagless convenience trades replacement consumables for hands-on cleaning of the container.

Price and value
MOVA’s US site showed a $1,159 sale price against a $1,299 regular price in 2026. Vacuum Wars displayed $999 with an Amazon US link in 2026. Retail prices, stock and promotions can change, so verify the current seller price before buying. The difference between those listings is large enough to affect the value calculation.
At a promotional price near $999, the V70 is easier to justify for someone buying a premium robot for the first time, especially if edge cleaning, rotating pads and a bagless dock are priorities. At $1,159 or the $1,299 regular price, the decision depends more heavily on how much those features matter in your floor plan.
Should you upgrade from your current flagship robot?
HardwareZone’s conclusion is unusually important: existing owners of a recent flagship are not likely to need an immediate replacement. The V70 cleans more of the floor, but the improvement may not repay the cost when your current robot already vacuums and mops reliably. That applies particularly to owners of premium models purchased within the last one or two years.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
The upgrade case is stronger when your current robot leaves a visible strip along walls, cannot climb important thresholds, requires frequent manual mop washing or uses disposable dust bags you want to eliminate. New buyers who specifically prefer rotating pads also have a clearer reason to choose the V70.
Strengths and limitations at a glance
| Strengths | Limitations and cautions |
|---|---|
| Extending mop and side brush improve edge and corner reach. | Manufacturer suction and cleaning percentages are laboratory claims, not guaranteed household results. |
| Strong everyday pickup of dust, pet fur and larger debris in independent testing. | No standardized V70 debris tests were published. |
| Rotating pads delivered clean floors in hands-on testing. | Some buyers may prefer a roller-mop design for long-term mopping. |
| Dock washes, dries and maintains the mop system automatically. | Bagless dust collection still requires washing and filter maintenance. |
| Up to 9cm two-stage obstacle rating. | Real threshold success depends on obstacle shape and approach. |
Who should buy the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete?
- Buy it if: you are entering the premium category, have troublesome edges or thresholds, want rotating-pad mopping, and value a dock that handles washing and drying.
- Consider another design if: your priority is the strongest possible carpet validation, you specifically want a roller mop, or you dislike washing a reusable dust container.
- Keep your current robot if: it is a recent flagship that already covers edges, crosses your thresholds and manages mop maintenance adequately.
Verdict
The MOVA V70 Ultra Complete is not accurately described as a broadly subpar performer. HardwareZone’s hands-on testing found effective everyday vacuuming and mopping, while its extending cleaning arms address a real weakness of many robot vacuums: leftover dirt at edges and in corners. Its dock and bagless collection also reduce routine chores. The product is less convincing as an automatic upgrade for recent flagship owners, and its headline suction figure should not be mistaken for a standardized performance result. For a first premium robot, or for a home where edge reach and threshold clearance matter, the V70 is a compelling option at the right sale price.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the V70 cross a 9cm step?
Its StepMaster 2.0 rating covers up to 9cm in a two-stage obstacle and 4.5cm for a single threshold. Actual success depends on the obstacle’s width, angle and approach.

How often will I empty the bagless dust container?
MOVA rates the reusable EcoCyclone container for up to 100 days, but dust load, pets and cleaning frequency determine the real interval.
Is the V70 a worthwhile upgrade from a recent premium robot?
Usually not if your current model already cleans edges, crosses your thresholds and automates mop maintenance. The V70’s gains are more meaningful for first-time premium buyers or homes with those specific problems.
