RTINGS reports near-complete hard-floor pickup in one pass, plus good pet-hair pickup. Its weaker carpet-edge cleaning, inconsistent obstacle avoidance around pet waste, and large dock make it a less convincing choice for carpet-heavy or space-constrained homes.
What does the MOVA P50 Pro Ultra do?
The P50 Pro Ultra combines vacuuming and mopping with a multifunction dock. It has two rotating mop pads, an edge-reaching brush and mop design, app control, obstacle sensing, and advertised options for handling the pads around carpet. The dock can empty the robot’s dust bin, refill its water, and wash and dry its mop pads.

MOVA lists a maximum suction rating of 19,000 Pa, a 5,200 mAh battery, a 3.2 L dock dust bag, 4 L and 3.5 L clean- and dirty-water tanks, and threshold crossing up to 22 mm. These are specifications on MOVA’s undated product page, not independent measurements of cleaning performance. Suction pressure alone does not establish how well a robot picks up debris.

How well does it clean floors?
Hard floors
RTINGS reports that the P50 Pro Ultra removes nearly all debris in a single pass on hard floors, including along edges and in corners. That makes hard-floor cleaning its clearest performance strength.
Carpets and rugs
On carpet, RTINGS describes everyday debris pickup as decent, but says some debris remains, particularly at edges and corners. Carpet Boost improves pickup but does not make the P50 a carpet specialist. Buyers with low- or medium-pile rugs may find it workable if they configure carpet handling and accept occasional manual follow-up; homes dominated by carpet have stronger reasons to look elsewhere.

MOVA advertises pad lifting and pad removal for carpet routines. These features can help manage mop pads when the robot encounters rugs, but they do not change the reported limits in carpet debris pickup.
Is it a good choice for homes with pets?
RTINGS reports good carpet-hair pickup from the Tri-Cut brushroll, which is useful for routine shedding. The brushroll can still need occasional cleaning, so the dock does not eliminate hands-on upkeep.

Obstacle avoidance is a more consequential concern. RTINGS says the robot may bump into or drive over objects, especially pet waste on carpet. If accidents are possible, supervise cleaning or clear the area first rather than relying on the robot to identify and avoid every hazard. Ideal Home’s reviewer also found that loose stray wires remained problematic during hands-on use.
What does the dock automate—and what still needs attention?
The dock handles several recurring jobs: emptying the robot’s bin, topping up its water, and washing and drying its mop pads. That reduces routine maintenance compared with a robot whose owner must empty and wash everything after each run.

Ideal Home’s reviewer measured the dock at 47 cm deep and flagged its size as a potential issue in a small home; that reviewer’s fit concern is not a guarantee about every room layout.

Who should buy the MOVA P50 Pro Ultra?
A good fit
- Homes with mostly hard flooring, where its reported pickup and edge-and-corner performance play to its strengths.
- Buyers who want vacuuming and more automated mopping in one machine.
- Households that need regular pet-hair pickup and can clean the brushroll as needed and supervise around possible pet messes.
A qualified fit
- Homes with a mix of hard floors and low- or medium-pile rugs, if carpet handling is configured and some manual carpet-edge cleanup is acceptable.
- Small homes where the dock can fit only after checking its placement and clearance carefully.
Look elsewhere if
- Your home is mostly carpet and you expect thorough pickup at carpet edges and corners.
- You need dependable obstacle avoidance around pet waste or loose objects without supervision.
- You do not have enough floor space for a substantial dock.
How does it compare with alternatives?
Use the cleaning tasks that matter in your home—not headline suction figures—to compare robot vacuums. Check independently reported pickup on hard floors and carpet, edge and corner results, pet-hair handling, obstacle avoidance, mop design and carpet protection, dock automation, station footprint, and current local price.

The P50’s cited advantages in that comparison include edge reach and removable mop pads. These are reviewer comparisons, not a universal ranking: the better fit depends on your flooring and priorities.
What does it cost?
Price varies by market and promotion. MOVA’s US product page displayed $379 against a crossed-out $799 price in a captured listing; those figures are a volatile snapshot, not a current or evergreen price. Check the product page for your country, currency, availability, and any promotion before buying. Ideal Home provided UK price-comparison links, but the available information does not establish a single current UK price.
Verdict
The MOVA P50 Pro Ultra makes the most sense when hard floors, automated mopping, and reduced routine dock work matter more than carpet performance or a compact footprint. Its reported hard-floor and pet-hair results are appealing, but carpet-edge pickup and obstacle avoidance deserve serious consideration—particularly in a home with pets. Treat it as a hard-floor-focused all-in-one, not an all-purpose answer for every home.
