2011: limited-time nationwide return
PepsiCo said Pitch Black was one of three flavours relaunching nationwide on May 16, 2011, for a limited time as part of its Back by Popular DEWmand campaign.
2016: fan-vote winner
In a July 18, 2016 release, PepsiCo said Pitch Black won its DEWcision vote against Baja Blast after a three-month campaign. That result documents the promotion, not a permanent return. The available official material does not establish Pitch Black’s current US retail status.
