Purported renders of Motorola’s next flagship flip phone drew attention to its design, but the images’ original source and publication date are not established here. The phone is no longer just a leak: Motorola’s support pages identify it as the Razr 60 Ultra, while its US retail page calls it the motorola razr ultra. Official specifications now confirm much of the hardware, though they cannot establish what any unverified renders showed.
What the leaked renders can—and cannot—tell you
The claim is that renders showed Motorola’s next Razr Ultra. Without an attributable original leak page or an archive of the images, it is not possible to verify how many images appeared, which angles they showed, whether they depicted a live cover screen, or who created or supplied them. There is also no substantiated basis here for naming colors, materials, or other details as things the renders visibly revealed.
That distinction matters: a computer-generated render is not a product photograph, and a render alone cannot prove a phone’s specifications, software features, or final retail finish. Treat the images as purported design illustrations, not as Motorola-confirmed product imagery.
What Motorola later confirmed
Motorola’s Razr 60 Ultra specifications identify Android 15, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and a 4,700 mAh non-removable battery. The cited support listing gives 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It specifies a 7-inch-class foldable AMOLED main screen and a 4-inch pOLED external screen, each with a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz.

The same support specification lists up to 68 W wired TurboPower charging and up to 30 W wireless charging. Motorola says the relevant charging accessories are sold separately, so those maximum rates should not be assumed to be available with an included charger.

The retail details are from Motorola’s US product page. These listings do not establish that every configuration is sold in every country. In particular, the 512 GB support listing and 1 TB US listing should be read as different listed configurations, not silently combined into a universal storage claim.

How to read the leak against the finished phone
- Design: Official specifications establish the display sizes and list an AI key, Gorilla Glass Ceramic on the front, and rear finish options including Alcantara and FSC-certified wood. They do not prove that an unauthenticated render accurately showed those features or the final finish.
- Performance: The Snapdragon 8 Elite is confirmed hardware. That specification alone does not establish real-world speed, heat, or battery performance.
- Cameras: Motorola’s US retail listing names two 50 MP rear cameras, including an ultrawide/macro camera. Megapixel counts do not establish image quality, and that requires independent testing.
- Durability: IP48 is the stated protection rating, not a promise that the phone is waterproof or safe in every wet or dusty situation. A render cannot demonstrate hinge or folding-screen durability.
- Software: The confirmed Android version does not by itself establish the phone’s update-support duration, cover-screen app behavior, or specific AI capabilities.
What remains uncertain for buyers
The available official listings establish specifications, but not a reliable current price, a universal release or availability picture, or carrier compatibility for every market. Check Motorola’s listing for the country and exact model you intend to buy, then confirm network bands and SIM support with your carrier. Motorola’s support specification lists eSIM plus physical SIM support; availability and compatibility can still depend on the regional model and carrier.
IP48 is not equivalent to full waterproofing, and a folding screen and hinge are more mechanically complex than a conventional phone’s. The specifications do not establish long-term durability, camera performance, or battery endurance in everyday use. For charging, verify which accessory is included with the exact retail package; the cited Motorola specification says the chargers needed for the stated maximum wired and wireless rates are sold separately.

Should you wait for it or consider another phone?
If you want a premium flip phone with a large external display, high-refresh-rate screens, and a flagship-class processor, the confirmed specifications make this model relevant to compare. If your priorities are camera consistency, long-term repair simplicity, or avoiding a folding mechanism, compare it with conventional flagship phones as well as other flip models.
There is no substantiated current price here for a value comparison, so a buying verdict depends on the price and configuration available in your market. For US shoppers, check whether the 1 TB retail configuration matches your needs; other Motorola listings may show a different capacity.
